hi

to start off with im not in thailand im in innisfail queensland northern australia

currently manager of what was the largest mangosteen orchard in australia in its time 1400 trees

[ i say that because last year we had cyclon larry wipe out about 40% of the trees so who knows what they will do in the future in regards to fruiting ]

we also grew durian rambutans abui and the list went on and on all exotic tropicals all gone now exept 600 mangosteen and 200 rambutanthat i had just pruned

we also run cattle here under a lease aggrement

i could expand on my list of duties but this is just an intro but i did run the farm single handed [exept picking times]

my employer has decided to sell up here and bought a place in nsw i dont want to move south i want to move north to thailand so is there ever any opportunities in the farming communities in your country for manager overseer we have been to thailand four times before i am also married to a australian woman who works here in care first aid / ambulance / social / womens rights / office type jobs area

any informaton would be most welcome

regards to you all michael

Look at the Visa requirements for you to come to Thailand, plus what areas the Thai"s are looking for foreign expertise in, and I think you can make a very quick informed decision.

Yes, I would say absolutely no chance for employment.

I would be interested to chat with you though about this.

Also do you realise that .... I think it is 1 in 3 farang/farang marriages fail in Los ??

Personally I would have thought it would have been higher than that.

Well I thought at least 1 in 3 farang/farang marriages fail everywhere? And at least 1 in 3 Thai/Thai marriages fail in Bangkok.

There is land a plenty in the Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai area. My wifes family grow lichee and oranges. They farm over 100 Rai. Only yesterday I was trying to establish the annual income from their holding. I was informed between 40K Baht and 60K per annum? I reckon on that basis they indeed most farmers would bight your hand off for the kind of knowledge and expertise you could bring.
