Use a landmark given in Thai. Use a translation app or google maps. 7/11 is always good if nearby.

Are you thick? Google dumbs down the place names for a foreign audience. Soi becomes "aly" or "alley" which almost no Thai will understand.

In at least one case it calls a Thanon a Soi, that road being Th. Lamphu. You're only going to know this if you compare the English version of Maps with the Thai version and get a Thai speaker/reader to assist, which I did last night just to make sure I wasn't spouting BS like most of the AN crowd.

Scroll up find the Thai words

Then you have to take a screenshot, run it through Lens, copy the text then paste into Translate. What a carry on.

Even then you won't get the correct translation, Rama IV being a case in point.

Bully for you but it's not all about you so enough already with your "I'm alright Jack" attitude.

Most tourists don't speak Thai and so have to rely on Google etc. It's good for them to know that it is not 100% reliable as I've clearly demonstrated already.

Use Bolt or Grab. The app sets up the address for you.
