They are designed to get the most money out of you. I found my Dental Surgeon in a ‘secondary’ hospital from likely the same group. A TOTALLY different experience. Suggested against certain cosmetic treatments, allowed me to walk out without paying my bill on the promise of returning the next day to do so. No ‘nickle and diming’ and half the price of the ‘flagship’ brand. The care was exemplary. Typical, expats or people defending Thailand. Blaming the total rip off's on the customer. I don't mind paying extra for quality , but being ripped off is another thing all togeather.

If you were foolish enough to believe that paying more equates to getting more, that’s your problem. Go cry into your Colombian beer 🍺 Instead of just walking into the most expensive premises, some of us actually did our research. I paid a fraction of what you are paying there. How come I didn’t get ‘ripped off’? They saw you coming. Even in my native U.K. they quoted me 150k for a single implant at the time. Mine cost me 40k in Thailand, including bone material. Stop whining. It’s undignified for man. 1

They suggested I could return after a couple of months. They instal Korean implants for 37,000, German made being a shade under 40,000 baht. Robert Paulson
Funny because I feel like western dentists are the worst with unnecessary extractions. They absolutely love to pull every tooth because it’s a sweet payday, the more teeth in one session the better.

A little perspective for you, not that it'll do any good: 28% of Swiss dentists recommend unnecessary fillings Oh trust me I fully accept Thailand does not have all the rights to corruption...Just best to remember from monks to doctors it exists in spades in Thailand...too ;)

Remember if a walk in you most likely will be sent to the doctor nobody else is seeing. The hospital is where primary medicine is provided for most people - so will have various doctor/abilities. Yes for sure a 2nd opinion is always needed. In my case the second opinion was a famous Thai doctor that gives lectures...His opinion was I needed not one but two operations . Trust me I wish I could name him & the original hospital but TIT right Edited January 18 by mania

Sounds like you have never been out of Thailand. Ignorance is bliss. Enjoy!
