I was looking at this a few weeks ago. Keep googling 'oil palm in Thailand' and the like and you'll find all your answers easily. Major limiting factor nr 1: is there a processing plant near you or are you prepared to set one up yourself? & nr 2: I see experts note they should grow within the equatorial rain belt extending only to 10-degs north so if you are north of Bangkok, as I am [i'm in abt 15-degs north], you are, as yet, less likely to find a buyer/processor than if you live south of, say, Ranong. I am going to try a few just now as it happens but nowt seriously until I see processor setting up within spitting distance of me. Never know - my 2 or 3 trees may suggest ir to someone - the processing plant is quite simple. Good luck.
