Where would forums be without the usual inane questions from those defending incorrect comments?

Which is why it’s always nice to have a report from the ONS and a couple of by-election results to refer to.

Exactly.

All of which prove not all voters think the same or vote for the same reasons. As I've already stated.

Shock horror, voters each have a range of concerns at the front of their mind as they vote.

Double shock horror, those concerns are shared and can be collated to reveal key concern.

Placeholder was right, refer ONS report.

"We won't forget the Blair years of lies, warmongering and destabilizing the middle east any time soon."

"We"? Really. Who appointed you spokesman for the British electorate.

Maybe you could check the results of the last 4 general elections. We, the British people firmly rejected Labour.

And it's dubious that an election is going to be decided on a issue of foreign affairs. Voters pay much more attention to issues concerning the economy and health care.

Maybe in the past. When foreign conflicts spill over into British streets and Pro Palestine supporters desecrate the Cenotaph it becomes a massive issue.

The last four by-elections tell a different story.

Feel free to cling to your hope that anything at all is going to knock, the cost of living crisis, the NHS crisis, the housing crisis, climate change and the environment and of course Tory sleaze off the list of voter’s concerns.

Winter is on the way, heating bills will rise, the NHS crisis will worsen and with each passing day more homeowners move off fixed interest rate mortgages to their new higher ‘Tory lettuce induced’ rates.

And before that, Labor won 3 in a row (without needing to be in a coalition.) By your logic, the Conservatives should never have regained power in the first place.

Oh, you are back to inventing and attributing to me points of view I myself never expressed.

Feel free to provide a quote from me where I state that winter is the fault of Government.

That's not an accurate comment and you know it.

You may be right. I don't actually think that she has the capacity to feel shame. But feel free to enlighten us on your understanding of her efforts to avoid paying UK tax.

Akshata Murty may have avoided up to £20m in tax with non-dom status

There are no efforts required. It's the law. There are thousands with non dom status in UK. People seem to think she should be treated differently just because of her husband's job.

Yes, there are thousands. And it's not like it's a tax avoidance perk for the rich. Anyone who can lay claim to a foreign residence can do it. At least anyone with the ability to £30,000 per year.

Labour lied to Parliament and the British electorate, taking Britain into an illegal war where thousands of UK troops were killed and the middle east was destabilized. Thats' why they were dumped and haven't been trusted since.

A bit worse than having a Guardian hit piece alleging a few quid was invested into a firm linked to a politicians wife. Desperate stuff. 😄

I don't see how a sentence composed in the third person can be understood to be taken as that of a spokesman.

3rd person?

Which illegal are you referring to.  If it was the Iraq war, it was actually 179 British servicemen who lost their lives.
