LingonBerry
Living a remote area in my home country and thinking of buying solar panel or two for charging mobile phones and tablets! Anyone using, which one is efficient and easy to carry?
Jing Joe
To start the ball rolling, the small wall power pack chargers for phones etc are usually about 10 watts capability (i.e. is 5V x 2A = 10W), and 10Watt solar panels are very roughly about 20cm x 20cm? but never connect/plug e.g. a solar panel directly to a phone etc. be they 12v or any other voltage You need to google for a complete purpose built device, (and be very suspicious about their power claims), or connect a 12v panel to a 5V voltage regulator, or wait for experienced others to reply here. My phone in charging 5V x 1.2 Amps, as measured, as I type. Too many Lithium batteries in other equipment have failed because of cheap chargers that over charge, but maybe not phones that cease automatically when charged? Jing Joe
A good option that may be a bit slower to charge its own internal battery is one like this:- 20000mAh Portable Solar Power Bank External Battery Dual USB Phone Charger. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/275499624268?hash=item40250ea74c:g:AUYAAOSwVFhjSU4t&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwFSwSOJ3fklE6VDbzzuRE1tN%2BymO3tLsAO6zK7t5i4csgE86JDzPWarnHbBrMUW3ZPKeglqjuSAhid1xKkrsrSb3hPGqVMdWvblpR7SP92o4F0TpX9HcpnXujlY4yWY0y7ba8oxz1icqVA64p20N4uZyc5tanSAJfKWqkrhxLGKAF091mN%2F1LrVIJEb%2BZTVcd2Kz8TJDZaFOwk0LbiYcSqt3ebNJiCL6b6eQRuKTfcTn9VboP%2F3QsQ4eEZPjo4meEA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABlBMUKzugcDsYg Maybe not too quick to charge its internal battery in the sun but very suitable to charge your phone after dark. Cheap enough to get 2 or more? Beware, one brand claims to have a 500000mAh battery. That's 500 Watts! Total B.S.

Anyone using, which one is efficient and easy to carry? Is your home country Thailand? Cause asking which one is efficient & easy to carry on a Thailand based forum is pointless if you live in a different country. What's available here may not be in your home country. 1
Jing Joe
Maybe not so bbko., because the rechargable battery devices above are "big-pocket sized", and internationally available, sort of like the sun hey. J Branche
I used a folding solar panel and plugged it into a portable solar charger or battery and did this. The bonus of the solar battery for reserve is if it's cloudy for many days and /or power is out you still have the battery.

Anyone using, which one is efficient and easy to carry? There are a multitude of different sizes, including folding, on lazada. You would need to match panel output to your requirement, or get a purpose made panel. You can also buy solar charged power banks but you may have difficuly flying with those depending on the battery size. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sada-20000mah-2-in-1-i3724228774-s14114915412.html?&search=pdp_v2v?spm=a2o4m.pdp_revamp.recommendation_2.7.d9fd7196ycqaPs&mp=1&scm=1007.16389.286994.0&clickTrackInfo=8d75bbb9-7c6c-4139-b1fe-aa43c1f39c3b__3724228774__4354__trigger2i__287002__0.021__0.021__0.0__0.0__0.0__0.021__6__null__null__null__null__null__null____423.0__0.5862884160756501__4.926165803108808__772__175.0__12005,126335,173871,181371,186029,186466,186558,186965,186978,187057,187065,187080,187164,188231,190317,190322,190327,190391,190604,190640,191850,194087,194271,194284,194333,195958,196429,196619,201378,202159,203107,203655,204555,205423,205508,212764,213701,218413,219059,226018,232522,233478,233479,233569,234278,234359,235501,235822,237483,239161,243890,246173,246272,246300,246376,246382,246387,246408,246424,246509,246613,246748,247052,247055,247069,247124,247950,253179,253514,255084,255119,255127,255285,255313,255314,255954,256194,257128,259796,263408,264539,265646,265761,265821,265876,270139,273319,273469,275678,275726,275812,276850,277815,280606,283067,283144,283293,285869,286218,286222,286240,286349,286367,286405,286409,286433,286434,287021,289008,289015,289023,290221,290230,290262,290990,290999,291434,293496,293546,296089,299666,299769,308637,315637,315728,318930,318938,319129,323736,323742,346949,348327,348447,350604,350643,350673__null__null__null__3650.16544_955.3632__null__32104__null__0.0__0.0________null__null__0
