Plus, it's not just the shock of deaths in Thailand, either through shootings, road accidents, drownings etc etc it's also the threat of kidnapping and extortion. And not forgetting China had huge domestic economic troubles back home which is affecting would-be tourism. Thailand has lost it's appeal to the Chinese market there u have it, just updated the verb had to HAS or still have this being related to middle class as the Chinese HiSo still manage to travel but not to Thailand 555 Edited October 28, 2023 by Mavideol

My money is always on the economy being the biggest factor. Absolutely. Chinese people will travel when they can and where they choose. At the moment it's not a good time to take a holiday. Visas, promises, and all the other clap-trap the buffoons are spouting won't effect their choice of holiday. If one country is more appealing than another they'll go there. Many Chinese travel domestically anyway. Thailand is once again disillusioned in its concept that anybody listens or cares about their schemes, hubs and campaigns. Tourists travel to see beaches, culture and to places they fancy. Oh...and of course honest taxi drivers returning millions of bath left in the back. They won't logon to TAT.COM for the latest cartoon.
