Srettha Slammed For Literally Bowing To Paetongtarn

SRETTHA THAVISIN was today (Oct.28) lambasted for literally bowing to newly-named Pheu Thai leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra in what was seen as an undue act of subservience of a prime minister.

Moments after Paetongtarn, daughter of de facto Pheu Thai boss/”sickly” inmate Thaksin Shinawatra, had been named leader of the core coalition party during yesterday’s extraordinary caucus, Srettha mingled amongst Pheu Thai cabinet members standing in a row and waiting for his turn to literally lower his head and kiss the back of her right hand.

The scene circulated online featuring the prime minister literally bowing to the newly-named Pheu Thai leader has quickly drawn criticism from many viewers including Pichai Rattanadilok na Phuket, head of NIDA’s Politics & Strategic Development Project.

Calling Srettha a “very pathetic” prime minister, Pichai took him to task for unnecessarily lowering his dignity as head of government and bluntly suggested that he call it quits to hold himself accountable for his excessively subservient manners.

This seems incredibly hypocritical, everybody knows that he's Thaksins lap dog, everybody knows that he's completely sold out, so why make a big deal about him making a demonstration of that in public

  • Pathetic grovelling to an airhead of a daughter that knows nothing when Thaksin is waiting in the wings dodging jail awaiting to get his grubby hands on power again.   The people of Thailand

Absolutely no shame!

What sought of Weak puppy is the Thai P.M.? Unbelievable to say the least, come on Thailand, you can do better than this..!

What's the big deal, can't handle truth, can't handle reality when millions of Thai people should have been out in the streets protesting the stealing of the election, another absolute takeover by the army, again after nine horrific years.

Instead you're sitting on your comfortable couches complaining about something that you perceive as an injustice. Really?

At least Paetongtarn never endorsed military coups to overthrow elected governments. A bow earned is a bow deserved.

What do the People of Thailand deserve. Over 50% of them revered Thaksin in his time. And over 35% of them vote Pheu Thai and its associates. Maybe they are not the most honest but at least they did not come to power at the barrel of a Gun. A flawed democracy is mush better than Military Dictatorship. Thailand has a way to go but at least it is beginning its journey

You are correct in that statement but, she was complicant in the over-throw of those selected to run the country in the last elections, so no, she doesn't deserve a bow or being elected as the leader of the current illegally appointed government.

I see, yes, I see! It is better to sit on your couch in the comfort of your home and complain about people complaining online. Good on you, mate!

Well, I see nothing out of character with him doing this. He bends over for Xi and kneels to Putin. This is right on character. Ah politics. Where crooks publicly mock you, then steal your money with a smile at the barrel of government guns

They get what they "deserve" and that's what they "put-up-with"... sorry to have to say the truth.

If they want change.... change it.

They were totally screwed over after the election, what did they do ?

NOTHING

There are no sides when in comes to the rich and influential.

They actually respect each other and socialize as normal friends.....so this is nothing new..it is normal behavior for the uber rich in Thailand.
