I have learned many things. Thais are master savers. They clutch every baht like it’s their last, refusing to waste it on something as vulgar as showing off. What a noble, understated lifestyle. They are amazing cooks and always use the best ingredients and even their deep fried food is cooked in avocado oil. Yum Thai customer service is world class. None of that cold, robotic Western politeness just pure passion when they scream “HEY YOU!” Thais are passionate drivers, yet weirdly careful at the wheel. Their politeness goes way beyond respecting elders and it extends to their fellow road warriors with gentle honks, forgiving smiles, and the occasional Buddhist level patience.
