An 18 year old student fell from a well-known university building in central Bangkok on the night of the Loy Krathong Festival.

The incident took place last night, November 27, as reported by Thanapat Suwannanak, Deputy Sheriff (Investigator) of the Thonglor Police Station. The university premises were examined by police, doctors and charity workers following the incident.

The incident occurred on the first floor between a 14-storey general study building and the Faculty of Arts building. The victim, a first-year student at the university, was wearing long trousers and a short-sleeved round-neck shirt.

Her forehead was severely injured, and blood was scattered all over the floor. A maintenance worker who discovered the body revealed that around 6.50pm yesterday, he was performing his duties on the first floor of the 14-storey general study building used by all first-year students.

Why would you ever use a balcony?  You like the searing heat from aircon in your face?  You like the noise and smell?  You just really like tiny spaces suspended above the ground?  You like to be accused of being a peeping tom?  You like to look at the view of a wall?

More likely that she jumped and landed on the first floor (the ground floor here, usually)

What evidence do you have to say she jumped? You might as well claim that she was pushed or anything else that comes into your twisted mind!

What difference would that make for a suicide attempt?

None, but then who said this was a suicide attempt as apposed to an accidental fall?

The full report very strongly, if not in so many words did!  And it wasn't "an attempt", it was successful....

"Initial coordination with the victim’s parents and relatives was carried out at the scene to confirm and investigate the cause of death. The victim’s mother revealed that her daughter had been suffering from depression and had recently argued with her boyfriend. This information was found written in the notes section of the victim’s mobile phone".

She went there alone, let in to the closed building by the security guard and I read the full report that was linked...
