SURVEILLANCE camera clips at a hotel in Khon Kaen where famous former boxing champ Mr. Somrak Khamsing took a teen girl from a pub they earlier met show them walking in hand in hand and the girl not asking for help even though she later accused him of sexual assault, Matichon and Khao Sod newspapers said today (Dec. 12).

 

Somrak has denied raping the teen girl, mentioning that he did not even know she was just 17 years old, and is getting ready to appoint a lawyer to fight the case.

 

The hotel revealed that Somrak had checked in at 8 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 9 then left at 9 p.m. He returned at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday Dec. 10 before checking out at 10 a.m.

 

The hotel management confirmed nothing untoward happened with there being no cry for help. Police also came and inspected the room and saw that it was in normal condition with the hotel unaware of the alleged sexual misconduct.

Depends on how strong the evidence are, which seem non-existent in this case. However, there would probably be a deal made and money exchanged.

It's really time that the authorities make up their mind at what age sex is legal in Thailand.

The age of consent in Thailand is 15!

 

And I bet more 17-year-old Thai girls have sex compared to the once that don't have sex at that age.

Plenty of CCTV coverage reported in the link, even including how they looked in the lift. But all of their arrival. How did she look as she was leaving? Happy? Distressed? As usual, the reporter misses the most important part - but does tell us what clothes she was wearing and their colour. He did miss out the registration number of the motorcycle they arrived on though. Careless.

Age of Consent in Thailand

Thailand statutory rape law is violated when an individual has consensual sexual intercourse with a person under age 15. However, sex with a minor under age 18 is a compoundable offense, regardless of consent. Thailand does not have a close-in-age exemption.
