webfact
Pattaya — In a heartwarming display of honesty, a staff member at the “Moom Aroi” restaurant in Naklua, Pattaya, gave a bag filled with over 100,000 baht in foreign currencies to police, in the hope to reunite it with the rightful owners. On December 14th, waitress Sonya Khayandee discovered a white bag containing 9,275 Dirhams from the United Arab Emirates and 105 U.S. dollars, amounting to about 100,000 Thai Baht, underneath a chair while preparing tables. The employee of Burmese nationality immediately informed the restaurant manager, identified only as Mr. Aod. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, Mr. Aod identified the likely owners as a group of four tourists, two women and two men, who appeared to be of Middle Eastern origin. The footage showed the group leaving the Moom Aroi restaurant after finishing their meals, and it was discovered that one of them had accidentally dropped the bag unnoticed. Despite waiting for a day, no one had came forward to claim the lost funds. Scouse123
They'll probably give the poor Burmese girl one or two thousand baht and steal the rest.

Grumpy one
In a surprize twist to this story, a Thai farmer who just returned from Israel and who is the brother inlaw of the policeman in charge of the cash laid claim to the money. 1

shackleton
You would think people working in a restaurant and find money ect people leave behind would hand it in as part of their job never mind saying about her honesty being in question Hopefully she will receive a reward 🤑
In Full Agreement
If I were the owner of the lost and found Baht, I'd give the server at least half the returned money. Without her honesty 100% of the cash would be gone forever.
