A plane carrying hundreds of Indian nationals who were held for days at an airport in France over human trafficking fears has arrived in India.

The chartered Airbus A340, which had been flying from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nicaragua, aroused suspicion during a refuelling stop.

It left with 276 passengers but 25 people including two minors remained in France after applying for asylum.

Two suspected traffickers also remain in France for further investigation.

However the two were set free by the courts.

The Legend Airlines flight landed in Mumbai early on Tuesday local time.

It had initially been prevented from leaving Châlons-Vatry Airport, about 130km (81 miles) from Paris, on Thursday after authorities received an anonymous tip-off that some passengers might be "victims of human trafficking", Parisian prosecutors say.

Most of those aboard are believed to be Indian citizens working in the UAE. A third of the passengers are reported to be from India's affluent western state of Gujarat.

French authorities reportedly also suspected that the people on board might have been travelling to Nicaragua before attempting to enter the US or Canada.

It was not clear whether authorities had definitively determined that no crime had been committed before allowing the plane to leave.

It is also unclear why the flight went to Mumbai instead of resuming its journey to Nicaragua.

Legend Airlines is a Romanian charter airline with a fleet of four planes, according to the online flight tracker Flightradar.

So a big nothing.   The usual excellent investigative reporting by the MSM

Yet appears to be very news worthy ... :cheesy:

Direct flights from UAE to Nicaragua?  Where's the demand for that?

On the other hand Malaysian airlines flies (but maybe no more) to Argentina, supposedly because a big shot owns a piece of that country.

Perhaps this incident will make people aware of the debt slavery racket.

"The chartered Airbus A340"

Apparently nobody knows or cares to find out, since all released to carry on 'their holiday' :giggle:

From the various MSM streams, it is clear to me that despite an alleged French police faux-pas that allowed the aircraft to depart, this whole business is still under investigation by non-Indian authorities. Nobody had 'their holiday' in Nicaragua as the aircraft returned to India where the passengers came from. It didn't even go back to UAE where the flight originated.

Who would charter such an expensive 'gas guzzler' aeroplane?

It's pretty obvious that the WION have hit the nail on the head and that this was part of a plan to allow illegal entry to the US that was masterminded by a known, Gujarati Hindu people trafficker who just happens to be very, very rich.

Since Indian PM Modi is a Gujarati Hindu with his political and business connections there strong and secure, with the aircraft returning to Mumbai, this story will get buried. Since most of the west wants to project the image that Modi as a good guy, I am sure that some political pressure was applied to stop the French investigation, which has been explained away by the 'police error' mentioned earlier.

They'd have probably made it to Texas or Arizona if only Indians voted blue...

Maybe not related to the topic ...

... but tour companies & businesses charter planes all the time, since not owning a fleet of.

Tourism is now Nicaragua's 2nd largest industry.

Yes they do. But this was so obviously not a holiday charter by a tour company.

My point is the 4-engined A340 is an aircraft that most all commercial carriers and charter operators can't afford to operate and have removed from their fleets. So who would accept and afford such an expensive and almost obsolete aircraft to fly half-the -world away? Someone who is charging first-class airfares, that's who.

If you say so, though I disagree, since the AC was used.

All people & AC was released, so not so obvious, or as you earlier suggest, too much outside influence to bother with any real investigation.

More that my original post, that/news-blip was just a big nothing, as nothing did or probably will come of it, besides just another distracting MSM news-blip/Ed-Op.   Someone suspects something, but nothing can be proved or done,   Almost reads like harassment of tourist  ... :cheesy:

Sort of like news-blips of MVA where there aren't even injuries ... what's the point.

Be assured that one thing Nicaragua does not need to import is cheap labor.  This trip is near literally half way around the world.  Perhaps the plan was to re-route to a place more convenient to slipping into the US, like the Bahamas.  The Frenchies must have given them a severe finger-wagging with a choice between attempting to continue on and get arrested, Interpol etc or just go back to India and we'll bid you adieu.

The decisions were made by a judge according to the French law.
