CharlieH
Freed Israeli hostage Mia Schem has broken her silence to share a harrowing account of captivity in Gaza, following her release at the end of last month. Schem, 21, spent 54 days as a prisoner in the Palestinian enclave after being shot and taken hostage at the Nova festival massacre in southern Israel on October 7, before finally being released as part of a ceasefire and swap on November 30. In her first interview since her release, she told Israeli outlet Channel 13 'I wanted to project the real situation about the people living in Gaza, who they really are and about what I've been through over there.' 'I went through a holocaust,' she said. 'Everyone over there is a terrorist.' Schem, a French-Israeli tattoo-artist from Shoham in central Israel, claimed that she was held with a civilian family, with children, while in Gaza. 'It is families under the Hamas regime, you know. I realised that I was staying with a family. And then I start asking myself questions… why am I staying with a family? Why are there children here? Why is there a woman here?' Before she was freed, she was made to film a video speaking about her experience, in which she said: 'People very good, very kind to me... Food good and the kindness and everything good.' The report was made headlines as it contradicted accounts of other hostages who recounted abuse in captivity, prompting concerns she had been made to speak against her will. Mia Schem became one of the most high-profile captives after Hamas released a video in the early days of the conflict showing her recovering from surgery. In the clip, Schem said in Hebrew that 'everything is fine', that she received medical treatment for injuries, and pleaded for her release. This girl went through hell as have most of the hostages if not all of them, in fact she's one of the lucky ones. Also in The Times of Israel. Mia was one of the girls who Hamas released a video of with her saying everything is fine, they are treating me well....blah blah blah. The pro Hamas supporters jumped on this to say how well treated they all were by the terrorists. All these vidoes were obviously made under duress and here we have Mia confirming it. "A day after the surgery, she told Channel 13, she was forced to film a propaganda video which Hamas released a few days later: “They told me to say that they were taking care of me and treating me… You do what you’re told. You’re afraid to die.” Freed hostage Mia Schem: ‘I experienced hell. There are no innocent civilians in Gaza’ His wife would bring her husband food, “and not bring me food,” she recounted. “A day, two days, three days, I wouldn’t eat… She was so terrible, she had mean eyes. She was a very evil woman.” On one occasion, she said, “I was choking back tears,” and her captor looked at her and said “‘Enough, or I’ll send you to the tunnel.'” Schem told Channel 13 that there was a television in the house, and at one point she saw her mother appear on TV, “and I saw my mother being strong, and I said ‘who am I to break?'” https://www.timesofisrael.com/freed-hostage-mia-schem-i-experienced-hell-everyone-in-gaza-is-a-terrorist 1
Popular Post billd766
Been through a holocaust? Was she beaten, starved, forced to work 16 hours a day, had all her hair cut off? She should visit any real holocaust museum in Germany to see what the results of a holocaust are really like. If there was little food or water the blame the people who stopped food, water, electricity, medical supplied to over 2 MILLION Palestinians, 1.9 MILLION have no homes, little food and water for themselves, nowhere safe to go to or stay, and then ask WHO is responsible for that situation. where injured men, women, children and babies are dying in overcrowded hospitals where there are NO medicines, power and water at all. Compare that with her life in Israel. Please spare me your BS about who started killing who, and face the reality of millions of people who had little to start with and have nothing now. Even in a post detailing the what hostage went through, you can't let it go. She had her arm operated on off by a vet, without anesthesia. Shame on you! Well unfortunately some are either blind and ignorant in a complete state of denial, or are in total support of the terrorist, they have no shame just as what the terrorist did shamelessly. It’s a psychosis mental disorder. Edited December 30, 2023 by novacova

Exactly, there is no sitting on the fence here: 'We know they were raped in Hamas captivity': Chilling details of what hostages faced Two Israeli doctors, who have been treating released hostages, and an Israeli military official familiar with the matter confirmed to USA TODAY that some released hostages revealed they suffered violent sexual assaults in captivity. One of the doctors assessed that "many" of the released Israeli female hostages ages 12 to 48 − there are about 30 of them − were sexually assaulted while held by Hamas in Gaza. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2023/12/20/hamas-sexual-violence-rape-hostages-oct-7/71917113007/

She should be grateful that she wasn't blown to bits by an Israeli bomb. Do you think she should pay them for the privilege of being taken hostage from the music festival, being shot in the arm from close range, taken to a room inside a Hamas complicit hospital for 2 days then being operated on by a vet with no anesthetic whose only words to her were "You will not make it out alive". Perhaps she should have also contributed to the board and lodgings of the terror family she stayed with? Pathetic post from you yet again. Shameful and vile. Should these babies who are still being held also be grateful? https://twitter.com/IditAbu/status/1741129508156023041 1

I don't blame her one bit for what she said. She went through a horrifying experience. She has license to say whatever she wants to. As for the medical treatment she received, given the horrendous situation for medical care in Gaza, probably she got better treatment than most. "Many healthcare facilities have been destroyed by Israeli offensives, with only 25 percent of hospitals functioning and only seven of twenty-two UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) health centers operating.
