Expats in Thailand urged not to worry about negative income tax
So the poor people will have to pay income tax, with the promise of a possibility that they might get some back. Sounds like a plan to get the poor to subsidise the rich - which would bring Thailand into the 21st cenury. -

I made my inference from this sentence in the OP: "Under these changes, all degenerative diseases will be covered five years after the start of your policy." Does the new wording state that the listed degenerative diseases are the only ones subject to these new terms? -

Pattaya Traffic CCTVs
These cameras are poorly positioned. Camera RC-706, , one camera just looks at the entrance to a one way road (Soi Diana), not showing the intersection in full. You'd think they would have positioned it looking at the intersection, Buakhou, Lengkee and Diana, maybe position it north of the intersection on Soi Buakhou. Most of the cameras are poorly positioned. -

That and a good few traffic accidents,violent "security thug" beat downs some gold shop heists and bank robberies as distant also runs. The Pattaya city "DVR" must be quite a machine to capture 24/7 all that data. -

Smoking tobacco or Cannabis vs Buddhist Meditation Practice, major impediment or not?
Admirable when that is the case, though I've had to accept the difference between a monk and anyone else is they have taken vows and wear an orange robe. They are still people who screw up in any usual way that people screw up. Taking the vows can be a threshold to a life focussed on practice, but sadly it can also be an escape for the criminally accused and those who have no intention of living a life of practice. I wish the Sangha would self-police in a way that resulted in there being no place for those who are not truly committed. Sadly, it doesn't and Thai Buddhism has suffered as a result. -

Foreign 'Mafia' Harass Tourists in Pattaya, Taunt Local Police
when I lived in Chiang Mai a few years ago now, Burmese used to hassle people walking home from Tapei Gate. They even killed someone on a bike with a machete . The police did nothing much until all the bar owners got together and paid the police to patrol the area ,they came into the bars and signed a book every few hours , i think it cost 300 Bhat a week for each bar but it cleaned the Burmese out.
