Russian 'Mafia' Caught Extorting Tourists on Koh Pha Ngan
Ah, you mentioned "walking street", so that must mean Pattaya. I went there in 2019 for a short visit as I was having a house built in Rayong, I would never go again, it does not represent Thailand in any way, it is Farang land, and the worst of the tourists go there. In Phuke,t Patong for instance does not represent Thailand where most tourists seem to go, the other places in Phuket for example Kathu and Phuket Town do represent Thailand as 99% of people living there are Thai. As far as Thai politics goes they do not affect me living here, we are second-class citizens anyway regarding not being able to settle permanently or vote, but I knew that before I came here and I have my five thousand pound cash stash of emergency money in case I need to leave in a hurry. There are millions of tourists coming to Thailand each year, but the news never states that forty million tourists visited Thailand this year without causing any problems, only a few did. I have lived and worked in Germany, the UK, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, the USA, and live in Thailand, Thailand is a great place to be, except for Pattaya that is. We are farangs here so we should put up, shut up, or leave, I am tired of hearing farangs moaning about the country. -

Could Trump's plan fail in a spectacular fashion?
I would agree. 1 of the issues with people that have wealth or access to it is they were never part of the normal lifestyle, life problems or difficulties. When you skate through life as he and many others have, they have no perspective of what normal people deal with so their view of reality and how to "improve" it is not accurate. He's living in the belief of America as a world power in the 1970's. He's a talking head without clear direction other than what a group behind the scenes have feed him. You see him already starting to flip flop on issues.. -

Nobody will trust a US treaty again,’ and Japan’s yen is now the new safe haven currency
The USA is not dependent on Canada, but its wealth and high standard of living is. It is Canada that provides the cheap raw materials and resources that the USA transforms into higher value products. Yes, the USA has a capacity to replace Canadian lumber, but at what cost? There are not enough sawmills in the USA or sufficient skilled labour to operate those mills and to trqansport the lumber. The lumber would have to come from protected environmentally fragile ecosystems. The forests were protected for a good reason as they were needed to control erosion, fire and water /air quality. You ignore the fact that there is a big difference between lumber used for the construction industry and what is in US forests. The softwood lumber the US would need are highly suceptible to pests and fire. It is one of the reasons why forest fires are so prevalent in clear cut replant areas. The pulp and paper companies replant with the highly flammablke varieties, not with the appropriate fire resistant trees, which are less valuable for. construction. Aluminum is a world market and much of it is already spoken for with local demand taking up much of the production. Your position is illogical. Trump says he wants to make the USA more independent, well, the alternatives to Canada are China, Russia and India. How is relying on those producers in the USA's interest? It certainly won't be less expensive in the long run. Yes, the USA is producing lots of oil and gas now. Oil pipelines do not appear overnight. They take years to build. The oil pipelines do not run east to west. They run north to south for good reason. You can't build east west pipelines in many regions because of the geography and the population. The US oil companies built their refineries in the midwest because of the billions of $$ the import of cheap Canadian oil made them. Yes, the USA can get its potash from Russia, Belarus and China. Another brilliant strategy to make the USA more independent. And yes, the USA agricultural sector relies on low cost Canadian potash. 80% of it comes from Canada. Try replacing that with the lower quality contaminated Russian potash. Add the shipping costs from Russia. It is far more cost effective to load a train car with potash and send it down south than to ship it via train and cargo ship with loading and unloading through multiple ports. Ask a US corn farmer how they would manage without Canadian potash. The answer is that there would be no corn production. No corn means no pork and cattle feed. No pork and cattle would not bode well for Americans. There is a reason why the stock market is tanking now. -

Koh Kong's Coastal Festival Aims to Boost Tourism and Economic Growth
Koh Kong Deputy Provincial Governor Orn Sothearith highlighted the event's main objective during his address at the opening ceremony on Saturday. He called for a joint effort from all parties involved, especially the public and private sectors, to further promote the province's rich tourism potential as its primary road infrastructure nears completion. The second Coastal Festival, a two-day event, was organized by the Dara Sakor Resort, which is part of the Coastal City Development Group, also known as CoastalCity. Li Mengchen, CEO of CoastalCity, expressed optimism that the festival would boost tourism in Koh Kong, attracting more investors and fostering growth in the local economy. Chea Tech Hok, Director of Public Relations for CoastalCity, noted that alongside the Dara Sakor Resort, the company is also investing in other initiatives, such as the Dara Sakor International Airport and a deep-sea port development, to further enhance the province's tourism potential. In 2024, Cambodia's tourism sector generated $3.66 billion in revenue, marking an 18 percent increase from 2023. The country aims to attract 7.5 million foreign tourists by 2025. AKP -

Could Trump's plan fail in a spectacular fashion?
I've had similar thoughts. Even Musk will tell you they're not certain if they will succeed. Nothing is certain. Trump may well be the Captain of a sinking ship. I thought that, the other day, when he was in his office signing executive orders. We had all better home, though, that he is successful in turning things around, as the current crop of so-called "Democrats" have no plan. Their only "plan" is to destroy America and everything it stands for. It's all part of a Globalist scheme orchestrated by the likes of Klaus Schwab at the WEF and Bill Gates.
