Accident Chinese Tourist Critically Injured in High-Speed Motorbike Crash in Pattaya
Pictures courtesy of The Pattaya News A midnight thrill ride turned tragic for a Chinese tourist in Pattaya, as he crashed his high-powered motorcycle into a utility pole, leaving him in critical condition. The dramatic accident unfolded at 5.16 am on April 23 in Soi Chaloem Phrakiat 3. Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre and Police Lieutenant Anand Mahakit-Asawakul from the Pattaya Police Station arrived promptly to find a scene of devastation. The Kawasaki 1,000cc motorbike, black and green, lay in ruins, its parts shattered and strewn across the road. Nearby, the rider's full-face helmet was found broken into pieces. The man, identified as a Chinese national in his 30s to 40s, was discovered unconscious on the road, critically injured. Rescue workers administered on-site CPR before rushing him to a local hospital. His condition is yet undetermined. The crash caused significant collateral damage, demolishing a roadside food stall, flattening tables, chairs, and an awning. According to an anonymous witness, the same man had been observed speeding through the alley several times during the night. "Just before the crash, he was going really fast. He hit a speed bump, lost control, and flew into the pole. The crash was so violent that the rider and bike were thrown in different directions," the witness recounted. Pattaya police quickly secured the area to conduct a thorough investigation. CCTV footage confirmed the tourist was travelling alone at high speed, losing control with no other vehicles involved. Initial examinations suggest reckless driving and excessive speed were contributing factors. Authorities have yet to officially identify the rider or provide an update on his current health status. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the perils associated with high-speed motorbike rides, particularly on unfamiliar roads. With the holiday season approaching, police are urging tourists to practice caution on Thailand's roads, especially when handling powerful motorcycles, to prevent such dangerous incidents from occurring. Foreign Tourist Assaults Bar Staff & Women in Pattaya Soi 6, Knocked Down in Viral Brawl
Thai people are frustrated at the filth that is descended upon their country. Trashy cheap mass tourism that looks down upon them and feels embolded to behave this way - they would not behave this way in China, Dubai, or Singapore. You see alot of the raw slaps that went in to this guy i feel was very much anger and frustration as to what they have to endure. These won't be isolated incidents. This guys in his western city is probably used to pandy bouncers and law that would protect his ignorant behaviour. He got a good lesson that isn't the west. He got very lucky to be honest. -
