   I did do that and there were no unrelated photos to the stories on the reputable media site that I looked at .

   Did you work for a sub standard media outlet ?

So the bridge was obviously already planned, and probably construction already started, when OP was posted ... :coffee1:

That's an old concrete structure part-complete - project began ten years ago, 2014.

 

The project was halted due to charges of encroachment on reserved mangrove forests by marine park officials.

 

Silly stuff.

 

But for now, shows what a little publicity can do to prompt action.

 

A win for the kids.
