I can't stop thinking - My mind is constantly busy - Looking for the answer .
Hello @backstreet I have experienced similar issues so I know how hard it can be, and what I find is that some simple meditation helps. Also a gratefulness routine is good, every day think about what you can be grateful for that day, instead of focussing on the problems you see (real or imagined). Proper breathing is very important, and learn how to use diaphragmatic breathing or breathing with your stomach. Look this up. The 5 minute video below with Andrew Huberman explains how to do something called the double sigh, a very useful technique to use when you need to slow down your heart rate to go to sleep. Or to reduce stress during the day as well. It really works, and quite quickly! As for medication: I would stay far away unless deep clinical issues, and focus on better eating (low carb/high fat) and whatever exercise you can manage to do within the limits of your foot injury and age. As for supplements, magnesium has been mentioned, I would add one which is GABA, a calming neurotransmitter I think it is classified as. I take it before bed (2*500 mg), and it can seem to give me better sleep (difficult to know for sure what causes what). You can buy it from iHerb.com, they ship to Thailand and is the number one website for supplements, with very good product range and an excellent customer service. Meditation and gratefulness are both good, and some personal therapy with a good psychologist might also help. But you have to find a person you "click" with, otherwise it will not work very well. I wish you good luck with finding some calm and peace, we older gents should live a quiet life, and not worry too much! 😀 -

Chicken Rice Vendor Saves Italian Tourist with CPR
Picture from responders A heartwarming act unfolded at a local chicken rice restaurant in Phuket on December 24, when a vendor saved the life of an Italian tourist who suddenly collapsed while dining. The quick-thinking restaurant owner, who had CPR training, performed life-saving measures that ensured the tourist’s survival. The incident occurred at “Ko Ta Chicken Rice” in Soi Surin, Phuket Town. According to eyewitnesses, the tourist was dining with a companion when he suddenly lost consciousness. Staff immediately called for emergency services while frantically seeking help. Lieutenant Somkiat Jiramonrat, the owner of the restaurant, was alerted by his wife and rushed to the man. “When I arrived, I saw the man unconscious. I tried shaking and patting him, but he didn’t respond. I decided to lay him flat on the floor and began performing CPR, just as I had been trained to do,” he explained. For 15 tense minutes, Somkiat continued chest compressions while waiting for emergency responders. Fortunately, a woman who identified herself as a nurse also stepped in to assist. Moments later, rescue personnel from the Kusoltham Phuket Foundation arrived, followed by an emergency medical team from Vachira Phuket Hospital. The tourist was stabilized on-site and transferred to the hospital for further treatment. Somkiat recalled that the man’s companion returned to the restaurant later that day in tears of gratitude. “They thanked me deeply. I wasn’t expecting anything, I just acted on instinct to help save a life. It brings me immense pride to know that I could assist someone in need,” he said. He added, “Tourists come to our country for enjoyment and adventure. The last thing we want is for them to face tragedy. I hope this serves as an example for others to help one another when needed and to treat visitors with kindness and care.” The incident has drawn widespread praise on social media, with many lauding Somkiat as a true hero. Netizens have also emphasized the importance of learning CPR, as it can make the difference between life and death in critical situations. The Italian tourist, now in stable condition, is expected to make a full recovery thanks to the swift intervention of Somkiat and others. -- 2024-12-25 -

DTV visa extension
Section 12 of the Immigration act does not mention proof of onward travel, so if you were denied entry due to that, it would indeed be illegal. Also, it is the airlines that ask for proof of onward travel, not immigration. -

Detached Truck Tyre Critically Injures Delivery Worker
Picture from responders. A incident unfolded on December 24, when a lorry tyre came loose and struck a delivery worker with immense force, leaving him unconscious and in critical condition at the rear of a pickup truck. At around midday, Police Lieutenant Boonchuen Sarasuk, an investigator with Phan Thong Police Station, was alerted to an incident involving a detached lorry tyre that injured a bystander along the Phan Thong-Ban Bueng Road in Moo 6, Nong Hong Subdistrict, Phan Thong District, Chonburi. Officers attended the scene alongside the rescue unit from the Thammarat Ratchamanirat Foundation. At the scene, a white Toyota Vigo pickup truck with the registration from Bangkok was found parked at the roadside. Mr Wichaya, aged 38, was discovered unconscious, leaning against the rear of the pickup truck alongside a stack of delivery boxes. He had no pulse and was in a critical condition. Rescue workers performed initial first aid and attempted CPR. They subsequently coordinated with medics from Phan Thong Hospital, who transported him for emergency medical treatment. A large lorry tyre was found near the pickup truck, approximately five metres away. Police found the lorry with the missing wheel parked further up the road and the driver was taking for questioning. Mr Kamon, aged 42, a colleague of the injured man, recounted the incident. He explained that the two of them had been delivering goods to a nearby shop. While Mr Kamon was inside the shop, the victim was retrieving items from the back of the truck to deliver to the customer. Suddenly, a lorry tyre rolled at high speed down the road for a distance and it forcefully struck the victim in the back,as he was leaning in throught the rear doors, rendering him unconscious. Mr Kamon quickly alerted the shop owner, who called emergency services for assistance. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing. -- 2024-12-25 -

Is it noisy in your Condo now
OK, now I understand why you are confused. There are 2 condominiums close together with similar names. 1. Arcadia Beach Resort 2. Arcadia Beach Continental Arcadia Beach Resort is the perfect project, facial scan to enter from street and to access each building. I went there again yesterday, quiet, peaceful, beautiful. I rode past the other, Arcadia Beach Continental, the one that you have been describing in your comments. I saw a few foreigners sitting in the little shop out front getting drunk, there are no entry gates, just free to roam in and out of the complex.
