Online 90 Day Reporting Rejected for the first time

I agree whole-heartedly that the 90-day address report is offensive and redundant (for those on annual extensions).

Having an annual extension doesn't mean you'll stay at the same address.
The purpose of the 90-day report is just confirmation you're still residing at the same address as you registered.

When I lived in Mahasarakham Province in the early 1970s, the local residents of Vietnamese descent had to report to the local police station every 90 days.

Sound familiar?

In 2014 there was no Immigration office in my Province, so a TM30 and 90 day reports were submitted at the local Police station.

Not that had a clue what they were about. Annual extensions were submitted at the nearest Immigration office in a difference Province.

It wasn't until 2016 Immigration stationed an officer at the airport to offer a limited local service file TM30's, 90 day reports, and re-entry permits.
The following year, they opened a fully serviced office.

I am not quite sure why they rejected my online 90 Day reporting application online.  This is the first time it happens and of course, no explanation is given!   the email I received is 'ordering' me to go my nearest immigration bureau immediately.  The due date is today, 17 January.  My retirement extension is due for renewal mid Marck 2024 so wondering if the two are linked ie I have less than three months visa remaining.  If that is the case then why would I need to go to immigration?  Does it have to be CW where I normally get my visa extension?  Any insight is gratefully received

Same happened to me when I was 45 days to extension renewal. It was on account of my extension being due prior to the next 90 day period. IO actually approves your online 90 day report with a person from your province IO office. It is entirely up to them if they approve or not.... Funny thing is I went next day to an IO KIOSK in Hua Hin, they approved my 90 day for me (full 90 days due next) and pointed out to me that my extension was coming up. Yes a waste of time for both them and me.

I would try resubmitting it today and if you don't get approved or don't get any response by the last day of the 7 day grace period than it is off to the immigration office.  Might work.

I have used the online 90 day reporting at Jomtien for 2 years now, I am on a Retirement extension. I still have an old TM30 for the same address I logged years ago. This year I arrived on a new passport and had the stamps moved over. Now if I believed all the negative reports about Jomtien I would have had to do a new TM30 and do the next 90 day in person. But no. The report logged online in the afternoon and approved next morning. Excellent service as always from Jomtien.

It has nothing to do with your visa extension timing. As best as I can tell they sometimes just randomly reject them with no explanation.  Sometimes resubmitting will result in acceptance. Since you have a few days left before the 7-day grace period expires I would try resubmitting.  If you don't get approval by the last day you can do it in person then you have to go to Chaenqwattana.

I respectably disagree, it depends on the approving IO if the reasoning is extension prior to next 90 day cycle. I actually asked the IO that approved my 90 day in person and she told me that the reason online renewal was denied was most likely due to the extension renewal date.

I was concerned about the new TM30 system and being enrolled via the old system so I went to IO and had them enter me in the new system (Condo owner with bluebook) then when I submitted my 90 day TM47 on a Friday online it was approved on a Sunday (interesting).

I got my first 90 day online rejection last month. I always take screenshots of the info I input and nothing was different from previous reports. I applied again the same day of the rejection email but this time filled in all the fields even if not required. The second submission was accepted. Try again tonight if you can and maybe you'll get lucky too.

I had some rejections before, but this time in CM I filled in the "stay until" information, which is not marked with an asterisk as obligatory. The report was approved.

You can report in person up to and including Tuesday 23rd Jan without penalty.
No link between extension renewal dates and 90 day report dates.
You must report to the IO that issued your extension.

My 90 days did not have the time needed, so it was not approved this month.  I just went in and got it redone when my visa had to be renewed.  The best way I found is to redo the 90 days at the same time as you renew your 1-year visa that way they basically end around the same time.

Just a quick response to (1) Dr. Jack and (2) Liquorice regarding my earlier post:

(1) The one time I submitted the 90-day address report by mail (during the 2011 mega-flood) I only submitted a photocopy of my previous 90-day report notice.

Immo/CW did send me a new one back, but wrote in ALL CAPS red ink that, next time, I must submit the original, not a photocopy.

(2) It is true that, between annual extensions, we could move around the country to who-knows-where.  However, we could also do that between the 90-day address reports.

Besides, for those on annual extensions), Immo has our cell phone number to track us (good folks) down if need be.

I once asked a senior officer at Immo/CW why we had to do the 90-day reports.

She responded, cryptically, "in case you have a problem."  I interpreted that to mean that if there was an arrest warrant out for me. (But I didn't bother to follow up with her on that day to get clarity.)

Word to the Wise

Just as well, I gave the wife's mobile number then.

I also created and gave them a one-off e-mail address I only use for Immigration.

@worrab is correct.

I am not sure that it was always the case but recently, the 90 day report date has been limited to the extension date (where this is less than 90 days away).

Maybe this depends on where you are filing your report.

I had a 90 day rejected, I resubmitted and it was accepted. Same data.

Dd the same but was rejected again

just got back from CW and the IO explained the rejection by saying I applied too close to the due date; total BS. of course!  She also reprimanded me for not submitting my TM30.  I updated it four years ago when I moved from my work address to the condo I own.  She had nothing to say except go update your TM 30 ASAP.  What are they on about, honestly??  They need some serious training on policies/rules and how to apply them across the board.  I am dreaming, I know
