Someone who walks around Pattaya with near 5oz of gold strung around their neck at 1.30am needs their head examining.

To me Anyone, Anywhere at Any time........  don't see the point + that also goes for expensive watches..

If you must wear a necklace appear this new 3D thing would be the way to go ?  Men's 3D printed Thai Gold Necklace 1,060 baht..  anyone stealing it would get a shock as it is worth nothing

It seems that some people have no common sense these days. It is plain stupid to

wear expensive jewellery in Thailand. People do not research where they are travelling to

as well I had one say they were too busy, I replied, too lazy. I have no sympathy for

stupid people who get robbed.

He/she laid off this neckless to a buyer who must have had a good idea were it came from. Without these people thieves find it very hard to operate. Surely the police must have also arrested the buyer.

Mueang Pattaya Police Station officers yesterday arrested a Thai transwoman for stealing a gold necklace worth about 300,000 baht from a Swiss man.

The Swiss victim, 60 year old Phillippe Bocion, reported to Mueang Pattaya Police Station officers at 1.30am on Saturday, January 20 that a Thai transwoman stole his gold necklace. Bocion said the transwoman approached and sexually harassed him by hugging him around the neck.

Bocion said he pushed her away and later discovered that his gold necklace, weighing about 151 grammes and worth about 300,000 baht, disappeared. He was certain the thief was the Thai transwoman who harassed him and sought help from officers.

Officers identified the thief as 28 year old Sunthorn Huajaiphet and arrested the woman in front of her condominium, Centric Sea Pattaya on Pattaya Sai Song Road, yesterday, January 21. Sunthorn admitted to the crime and confessed that she sold the stolen gold necklaces so she could buy many other gold accessories.

It boggles my mind why, when going out to walkingstreet or to the bars, these fools wear all the expensive items.

There is no words for he or she in the thai language so the incorrect use of the pronoun "she"  is purely the result of a sad woke "journalist" or translator.

Who ever is responsible for it,  I doubt they were concerned at offending the thief  , so it can only be a nauseating attempt at virtue signalling.   This almost unnoticed practice of sneaking this pronoun rubbish in at every opportunity. needs to be called out for what it is...bu££$hit

This crime was apparently committed by a ladyboy?

Who is the person being pointed at in the picture?

A picture from police makes more sense:

A lot of the loss of these crimes could be solved if the pawn shop was made legally and financially responsible for clearing stolen items. It would be up to the shop to decide what measures they would take - holding payment for several days, requiring witnesses, other titles etc.. but at the moment seems like all these shops do is facilitate the crimes

That said I don't get the attraction with a big f' off gold necklaces, tacky as a Lacoste polo, or burberry man bag, they must get sold together in the knobhead starter kit..

A lot of the loss of these crimes could be solved if. !

ideots didn’t walk around with three years wages around there necks

they are just asking for trouble

I worked in a unit in Australia, years ago, tasked with enforcing compliance of pawnbrokers and second-hand dealers.  All serial numbers, engravings, descriptions, valid IDs were all uploaded to a national database for potential matches to stolen property.  Most owners unfortunately never bothered recording their serial numbers etc.  So often it was just doing a lot of standard investigation work to link property to thefts, robberies, break and enters, shoplifting, fraud, etc.

It became obvious after a few years of auditing the shops, that the vast majority of property pawned and sold were stolen.  The sheer quantity of stolen goods made it impossible to investigate every item.  Pawnbrokers and second-hand dealers are straight up licensed receivers of stolen goods.

I am sure Thailand is likely the same and that their auditing and compliance requirements are not stringent.

Here we go again and again and again:-

"Pattaya" - "Ladyboy" -  "xxxxxx baht gold necklace stolen"

Reporters - please Copy and Paste - just need the date changed for next time!

P.S. Maybe have "Ladyboy/Transgender person" - Delete as required?

P.P.S. Nice to see the old pointing finger is still around!

That is not a transgender woman, it is a man most likely dressed in women's clothes. Todays society has gone bonkers with the political correct agenda. In future I think I would like to identify as a lemon popsicle, or maybe a burrito......

Transvestite then, bloke in a dress and wig

Thailand could go a LONG way in improving their image if they rounded up ALL these warp-minded types that THINK they're women and drop them on 1 of the islands like a commune.

They could rename it "Khoa Tranny" and offer tours to the warp-minded tourists that prefer fake women to real women. :wai:

Similar in London now, but the target is $10,000+ watches, like a Rolex! They have serial numbers etc, but there is still a market.

Also Canada Goose jackets

If it was a pawn shop, they do not have to check the ownership of the item (they have the borrowers ID) but they would lose the gold if the investigation located it.  Unless it could be proved that the pawn shop knew that it was stolen, losing it would be all that could happen.
