i live next in an apartment next to this buddhist temple

now the last 4 or 5 days there has been chanting throughout the day which is quite unusual. seems like something interesting in the buddhist calendar is going on.

would anyone care to explain? i visited the burmese buddhist temple (also nearby) with my friend but they dont seem to be doing the same things. any idea why that should be?

i dont think so, its been going on for a week now. normally here a funeral is over in a few days.

could it be something to do with buddhist lent?

Go ask them....people at temples have always been really friendly in my experience.
