Accident Drunk Woman 53, Dies in Head-On Collision After Driving Motorcycle Against Traffic
Picture courtesy of Workpoint. A 53-year-old woman has died after riding her motorcycle into oncoming traffic while intoxicated, colliding head-on with a pickup truck in Buriram province. The incident occurred around 10:00 on 3 June, on a curved section of the Ban Na Lao–Ban Hua Fai Road in Don Mon Subdistrict, Satuek District. Police Captain Naphat Sutthithanakul, investigator at Satuek Police Station, along with emergency responders, arrived at the scene to find the body of Mrs Kan, a resident of Ban Khok Sawang, Kaen Dong District. She was lying lifeless in the middle of the road, having suffered multiple fractures. Her red Honda Wave motorcycle was discovered badly damaged nearby. The white Toyota pickup truck involved, driven by Mr Thawon, 64, of Ban Hua Fai, showed clear signs of impact on its front right side. The vehicle had five sacks of fertiliser loaded in the back at the time of the crash. Mr Thawon told police that he had been returning from buying fertiliser when, at a curve in the road, two motorcycles approached in the opposite direction. Suddenly, one of them, Mrs Kan’s, overtook the other and veered directly into his lane, leaving him no time to avoid the collision. Shortly afterward, the victim’s husband, Mr Sompharn, 59 and their daughter arrived at the scene. Mr Sompharn was visibly distressed and furious, particularly at Mrs Ploy, 56, a close friend of the deceased. According to Mr Sompharn, Mrs Ploy had regularly invited his wife to drink alcohol from morning until night, even allowing her to sleep over after long drinking sessions. He said that despite repeated warnings, his wife continued to join her friend in drinking. On the evening before crash, Mrs Kan left home to drink with Mrs Ploy and the pair reportedly continued drinking into the next morning. When questioned, Mrs Ploy, still visibly intoxicated, admitted that the two had been drinking together since the previous day. She said Mrs Kan had left that morning but did not say where she was heading. Not long afterward, word arrived that her friend had died just 50 metres away from where they had been drinking. When asked whether she would stop drinking following her friend’s tragic death, Mrs Ploy responded defiantly, “I won’t stop drinking.” Police continue to investigate the incident. Community Baby Girl’s Body Found in Bin Bag at Bangkok Condo
You're not thinking straight, your mind is foggy. I'd say, more than likely the boyfriend was supporting her at the time, lying to her, saying he loves her and her baby then before birth he takes OFF, never to be seen again.
