Absolutely no.

Kids are not little adults  Anyone who argues otherwise is simply displaying their ignorance.

Anyone refusing others the right to discuss their opinion is showing theirs!

Old enough to do the crime, old enough to serve the time.......

  • All murderers should be dealt with the same regardless of their age, life sentence or death.

A penny saved is a penny earned

In my opinion depends on the crime committed .

This has to be in a different trial , where a group of judges will see the facts and will act on the crime done .For example , a death by accident , can perfectly be normal young behavior but with unfortunate outcome.  A murder can be also , depending on the context , like a adult murder is also trialed and also different outcomes can be there . Some things are clearly wrong at any age , in any circumstance , in this way , it is clear that it should be treated as adult .

For minor crimes like theft no, but for major crimes like armed robbery, assault with deadly intent, rape and murder absolutely. To the fullest extent of the law as it applies to adults. Without a deterrent society simply crumbles. Kids are not that special, and they don't need to be coddled incessantly and protected. It is far more important to protect their victims.

yeah and in the US today, they are coddling the adult criminals too, no bail necessary for armed robberies, mob mayhem including burning or private property, taking over 6 blocks of a city for over a month,

and then, even when the perp goes to court, a sympathetic judge will not send them to jail! Scary to say the least that citizens continue failing to realize what they are voting for.  Just wait till November and we will see just how bad things might get as then it will be too late!

Yeah, for example, the 6-year old kid taught how to shoot a handgun, takes it to school, tries to kill his teacher who puts out her hand and takes the bullet there before hitting her which kept her from dying.  Eventually, because of all the public pressure, the mother of that child (the registered owner of the gun) was sentenced to two years in prison!! Finally!

Punish them or rehabilitate them, I'm not going to pretend I have an answer.

But at the very least, keep them away from decent people until it's proven that they aren't going to harm anyone else.  Which requires a custodial solution, whatever it's called.  And it can be as humane as the people are willing to pay for...  Or better yet, as their parents are willing to pay for.
