Pattaya — Chinese tourists expressed gratitude to the Pattaya Police after officers successfully recovered their lost belongings.

The incident occurred when the tourists, eager to explore Pattaya, unknowingly left behind a backpack containing valuable items after exiting a Songthaew. Facing language barriers and unfamiliar surroundings, they sought help from the Pattaya Police Station.

Despite the challenge of identifying the specific Songthaew among over 700 operating in Pattaya, the dedicated Pattaya police immediately began an investigation.

From the link:

Through CCTV review, they were eventually able to locate the Songthaew driver who had found the misplaced bag.

The recovered belongings were promptly brought to the police station by a Win rider. The backpack was then reunited with their relieved and overjoyed Chinese owners, who expressed gratitude to the police and the rider.

Begs the question about the time frame of when the "honest Songthaew driver found the bag, and when the police recognised the vehicle.

Did the driver honestly return the bag promptly or only when they contacted him?
