Banana7
Can anyone recommend a good place in Pattaya to buy a Yuasa motorcycle battery? Genuine, fresh, new and at a good price. Edited March 4 by Banana7

Korat Kiwi
You could also look online at Lazada. Personally I'd look at going Lithium. Less weight, less drainage and smaller size but retains the CCA you may require. About the same price. I converted 3 bikes in NZ to Lithium. Never had a problem. 1

For the YTZ6V about 700b delivered. Checked 2 shops on Sukhumvit 900b, the Honda repair shop on Pattaya Tai, 1,150b. I like the idea of lithium, but I don't know about the brands and quality. Korat Kiwi
Yuasa is one of the top brands if original.... and that can be a problem. Original battery's in NZ are damn expensive. But then you know what you're getting. I understand your concern re Lithium batteries here. I too don't have enough knowledge yet on which is good or not. Once I decide to get a proper bike I'll start researching the matter.
Korat Kiwi
I'd probably go with what you found on Lazada. They are pretty good with their delivery times too.

In Thailand there are many "copies" of genuine products. How do I ensure I am buying a genuine new Yuasa battery?
Korat Kiwi
Bloody good question. I really think it's luck of the draw. All one can really do is look at reviews and hope those haven't been doctored. Otherwise an authorised dealer.... But even that's not guaranteed.

Jake72
There is a seller on shopee, 605B + 64B shipping, with a 4.8/5 star review and 800+ sold https://shopee.co.th/แบตยัวซ่า6แอมป์Yuasa-YTZ6v-i.307661686.4556611424 1

On Sukhumvit, 100 meters before the Naklua traffic lights if you come from Pattaya, is a Yuasa dealer. Don't know if he has bike batteries, but he certainly has car batteries

Henryford
I paid 1100 from the Honda shop on Pattaya Tai for a Click 150i. A bit more than you might pay at a local shop but i was concerned about getting a copy or used battery. Edited March 5 by Henryford

I got my last one from these guys off Lazada...you get a choice of pre filled with acid, or add the acid yourself, I've done both, the last one I chose pre filled https://www.lazada.co.th/shop/battery-house/?spm=a2o4m.pdp_revamp.seller.1.4a2420cf56s7Jy&itemId=382468964&channelSource=pdp

There is no guarantee that the one at the Honda shop is not a cheap copy also.......
