Gave up football 49

Gave up rugby 19

Still do tennis, running 5km, tai chi and swimming, and golf.

I'm old, late 50s, body starting to fall apart.

I'm about a decade behind you.... but its the same here....  Body is starting to fall apart...  Correction, body has fallen apart in the last 6 months.....   (one an injury / another a significant sporting accident)...   I can only see how recovery goes...

A year ago a Marathon would be readily achievable... this year, impossible (due to injury)...    Body falling apart...

I think I'd be lucky if ligaments can last that distance again and I'm wondering if I'll be able to play football again by the end of the year.....

.....I certainly can't keep up with 20-30 year olds anymore, I'm way too slow for that now...

....regardless of how I try to pull the wool over my own eyes and pretend its only about attitude and age doesn't matter as some fools seem to think....

... Of course age matters... it matters significantly - the only thing we can do is try to get over that and operate to our limits if 'physically safe to do so'.....

Is that when you hit the cr ack pipe?

Men don't even reach their prime until their mid 30s and some hold it until they're 50 when a slow decline begins.

Too funny but expected reply from a sex tourist 🥰

Half of men in their 30's experience ED.

Is this why you cume to Thailand? Cheaper women and cheaper viagra?

Actually, I moved over here a couple of years ago. Doesn't that make me a sex "resident"?

My main reason for moving over here was to escape pea brained, obedient Covidians...I mean Canadians.  Sex is just an added bonus.

Cheaper women?  Every guy on this board gets it for free.

In our 30s and 70s, she stayed 20 and I lost a couple of year each anniversary.  Now that we're in our 40s and 80s, she complains "I'm not a young girl anymore."  I don't believe her.

Not quite correct Sid.....   Professionals are playing far more than 3x per week...    they are playing a lot while they are training.

I was referring specifically to matches. Of course they are training nearly every day at the higher levels, but not 3 matches per week. For sure, recovery from any physical activity as you age is much more difficult.
