Popular Post Social Media
A federal judge has dealt a blow to Hunter Biden's legal defense by denying his attempts to dismiss the felony tax indictment against him. In a sweeping ruling issued on Monday, US District Judge Mark Scarsi rejected eight motions to dismiss, clearing the path for a trial scheduled for June. Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, faces nine charges related to tax evasion, including allegations of repeatedly failing to file and pay taxes on time, as well as falsifying tax returns and payroll records for his company. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, Hunter Biden's attempts to have the indictment dismissed on grounds of political bias were dismissed by the judge. Judge Scarsi criticized Hunter Biden's legal team for failing to provide substantial evidence to support their claims of political motivation behind the charges. He rebuffed assertions that the indictment was politically motivated, stating that a rigorous standard must be met before dismissing an indictment on such grounds. Additionally, Hunter Biden's arguments that the case should be thrown out due to alleged misconduct by IRS agents involved in the investigation were also rejected by the judge. He found no merit in claims that the actions of the IRS agents warranted dismissal of the case. Furthermore, Judge Scarsi ruled that certain charges in the indictment, including misdemeanor charges and jurisdictional issues, would proceed to trial. The rulings represent a significant setback for Hunter Biden, whose legal team has vehemently contested the charges and sought to have them dismissed. Despite these challenges, the trial is set to proceed in June, with Hunter Biden facing the prospect of defending himself against the felony tax charges in court. The decision comes amidst ongoing legal battles for Hunter Biden, including separate indictments related to alleged gun crimes in Delaware. With the trial date looming, Hunter Biden's legal troubles show no signs of abating, presenting a potential obstacle to his father's presidency and political legacy. 03.04.24 Source 1 2
Popular Post JonnyF
Good news. There was no grounds to dismiss the case. As an aside, Hunter Biden is looking really old now. I wonder if it's the stress of all the charges, or simply all the substance abuse? Either way, let's hope Joe can finally present himself as a good father and role model and help him with all his issues. Better late than never. 1 1

He tried the same "politically motivated" argument as Trump, and it didn't work better for him than it did for Trump. However, I assume he won't go as far as to insult and threaten Judges, staff, witnesses and their families......

Funny how Giuliani (known for his contacts with Russian operatives), did not give them a copy of the laptop content, so that they could not check by themselves! 😁 2

Given the questionable provenance of the data in question, good that nobody took it seriously. And still nothing on the laptop pertained to Joe Biden.
