AWC set to scoop jackpot from Thailand’s casino legalisation

Singaporeans and Permanent Residents of Singapore must have a valid entry levy to enter the casinos in Singapore.

I see no issue with Thailand doing the same, for Thais.  Don't allow them in unless they are rich and have paid for an entry pass.

The purpose of the Casinos is to have another thing that might bring tourists.  Macau and Singapore have done well from their casinos (my Brother in Law is a civil engineer and was one of the top guys on the Marina Bay Sand project, Sands Macau, Venetian Macau, City of Dreams Macau, Hard Rock Macau as well as a project in Vladivostock.

My family had property and businesses in Macau since the 80's.  So we saw first hand the benefits of the casinos there.

So Thailand relents and will allow gambling for some . No doubt the elite Thais will be admitted but the guy in the street , no chance . It will be interesting to see the extent of gambling games allowed . E.G. will the casinos facilitate gambling on horse racing and sport games such as football ?

Is this the first foot in the door ? The Thai authorities will be well aware of the huge profits made by the betting industries .            Walk in betting shops on every UK high street as well as online .

Maybe conjecture but it could go the same way as prostitution , evident to all but denied by the authorities because good brown envelopes .

Casinos should have  being legal yrs ago, save certain thais from going to the border and gambling. They neighbours love to gamble as we know, but the big resort will attract the chinese and certain tourist, also thais will always use the illegal ones too.No doubt some big thai companies will have plans.Look at cambodia and the sth and see what it is like now with the casino town all chinese tourist. If you like this  then all good.

Most people agree  in thailand that casinos should exist and if you want to enter your choice so let it happen

It looks like AWC is really gearing up to grab a big slice of the action with Thailand’s casino legalization! I have to say, this could be a game-changer for the whole region. Thailand’s been on the fence about casinos for ages, but with the market opening up, AWC might just have the edge.

Hat Yai, Malaysian tourists.

Not surprising since Hat Yai is also very popular for Malaysians for girls.

AWC are the property arm of Chang and they own huge tracts of vacant land on Pattaya 2nd Rd between Klang and Central Marina mall.

Their proposed development there includes 2 Marriott hotels, retail space, a zoo, a Legoland and facilities for MICE visitors including "convention centres".

Soi 6 is very close by for good measure.

ibet   the new Casino, if it comes ...will have the following location

the landspace next to Ocean Marina Yachting port , at direct acccess jomtien mortorway , just opposite.

already here build new condos arround with price tags of  a minimum at 120.000 ++ sqm, and that at the end of pattaya (banamphur)

There are a few potential sites in and near to Pattaya.

I'll stick with my AWC prediction for Pattaya 2nd Road.

The Melia Hotel is opening soon on 2nd Road, a big refurb and upgrade for what was once the Grand Sole. This is an AWC project.

Incidentally, Thaksin and ex-PM Srettha both have commercial properties nearby - Centric Sea, The Base and The Edge.

it make no sense to build in the city , as players cant reach their point with the car, in a matter of normal driving time . but there so much brainless decissonmakers, so all possible

but however this is not my pattaya more , that i know far over 30 years

It’s all about timing, and they seem to be in the right spot at the right time. If you're into the gaming scene, this could be one to keep an eye on. Places like http://bonusbet.com/ might end up being huge players too, as more countries start getting into the casino game. It’s exciting to think about how much this could shake things up.
