Shin Corp (49.6% owned by Thaksin) at the time of sale had 4 satellites 3 of which were decommissioned.

None were government owned.

Why do you think he got the VIP treatment? The rich were not going to punish one of their own.  He is one of the elites now, so he is relatively screwed when it comes t lower-class people.
