Move Forward may get more time for defence in charter court

The Constitutional Court is unlikely to issue a ruling on the fate of the opposition Move Forward party this month and have given the party more time to present additional defence evidence against an application for the dissolution of the party, Constitutional Court president Nakharin Mektrairat said today.

The court accepted for consideration the Election Commission’s petition and application, seeking to have the party dissolved and the executive committee members banished from politics for ten years, on charges of attempting to overthrow the Constitutional Monarchy by calling for amendment of lèse majesté law (Criminal Code §112).

The court gave the party until April 17 to produce evidence to the court in its defence.

Room 101 on how to appear neutral in the process of justice. The CC already has the verdict and we all know what that is.

Just like China, Myanmar and Cambodia... Thailand is slipping back down the same road.

Best not to mention it was the opposition that won the election or things could get confusing,

Or that lèse majesté law (Criminal Code §112). exists due to an unelected military junta 🤔

Because most of the brainwashed populace inherently believe that some individuals are literally above the law and have semi-deity status. They do not understand what a constitutional monarchy is. Many people forget that despite being "above politics" there were changes made to the constitution AFTER the referendum vote last time - totally illegal, but done by a god so it was overlooked.

Can't slip back if you never climbed up.

He wants his billons of USD to keep coming in, That will never be allowed to be stopped.

It is in fact ridiculous that this case is being hanled by the court.. Nothing happened, no intentions whatsoever.. A military coup is much more a threat than changing a law that is very outdated and being abused for people who don't agree with the establishment..Besides that the MFP is the winning party of the last elections so many people agree with the change, but because the army and friends don't allow any interference in their power and wealth they find fake reasons to get rid of their opponents.. How long will the people accept this?
