Two motorbike riders killed as loaded pick-up truck crosses road divider

Two persons were killed and several injured in a car crash on Phra Baramee Road close to Patong Hill's east side on the night of May 7. The accident happened when a pickup truck, which was carrying immigrant workers, swerved across the median and hit a motorcycle.

Bus driver dies, 29 passengers hurt in Lampang tour bus crash last night

A bus driver died and 29 passengers, both Thai and international, got injured- with two sustaining serious injuries- following a bus crash on Tuesday night. The tour bus was en route from Chiang Mai to Bangkok when it lost control, veered off the road and hit a tree.

Phuket's Pling Island and nearby area closed to reduce coral bleaching

The area around Pling Island and the surrounding coral reefs of Sirinart National Park in Phuket are closed temporarily due to extreme coral bleaching. This is a result of rising sea water temperatures.

MWA Alerts About Possible Change in Tap Water Taste Due to High Tides

The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) has informed residents that the taste of tap water might alter a bit between May 9 and 15.

Hat Yai Police Crack Down on Gun Robbery Gang, Recover 37 Stolen Firearms

On May 7th, 2024, police in Hat Yai, Songkhla, held a press conference detailing a sizable gun shop theft. They reported they had recovered 37 stolen firearms.
