Hello Guys.

I am now planning for my trip to Thailand with my wife (North and South) and I would like your sugestion/comments/help.

This is my plan:

08 NOV 2007 - Leave Home

09 NOV - Arrive Bangkok

10 NOV - Go north with gap adventures tour up to the golden triangle (http://www.gapadventures.com/tour/ATND)

17 NOV - Instead of getting the night train to Bangkok and the the airplane South I was planning to get the airplane in Chiang Mai to Krabi.

17 NOV - Arrive in Krabi.

18 NOV - Visit the Islands around Krabi - I would like your sugestions here (were to go, what to visit, where to stay, etc). Do you thing I should go from Krabi to Phi Phi and sleep there from the 18th to the 19th ??

19 NOV - Depart by boat to Phuket (from Phi Phi or Krabi, depending were I stayed on during the night from 18 to 19 NOV)

19 NOV - Arrive at Phuket

From 19 to 24 - Phuket and around

24 NOV - Airplane to Bangkok

27 NOV - Airplane home

I Would appreciate your help, especially what to visit/do near Krabi and around and also in the issue of 17 NOV (leaving Chiang Mai by airplane to the South), especially reagarding cheap, and, if possible, direct flights).

I really appreciate your help on this issue since I have never been to Thailand (or Asia)

Thanks in advance.

nice holiday plan you have there.

pack as light as you can because you'll buy sooooooo much stuff at markets. especially clothes. last time i just took the clothes on my back and a weeks worth of underwear, and bought the rest there. baggage guys at the airport kept looking at me like i was retarded when they picked up my case.

doesnt thai airways run a direct flight? turboprop though.

i once took a bus with a group of mates from the north to south, i probably wouldnt recommend it if your with your wife, unless she likes adventure, but it was an awesome experience, kept stopping at rural towns - at one stage 12 cent beers.

Thanks for your answer Tattoo.

I would really try to pack as light as possible but women cant do that :o

I'm gonna check the direct flight. What to you thing about turboprop? Is that really bad?

About the bus, how long did it took from north to south and waht kind of adventure are you talking about? she likes adventure, but not excentric ones :D .
