wrong! but Wikpedia has deleted all the concerned pictures. that said, i respect your opinion but i totally disagree with you because the link and you write is exactly a reflection of mainstream mass media, which don't even bother to inform their readers that this war began in 2014.

i say it again! if "the politicians" wanted people to know the truth, they wouldn't have banned news from Russia. i, too, condemned Putin, as do CNN CBS,BBC and so on, until a friend gave me access to russian television. since then, i've understood...

I'm a Belgian retiree in Isaan. I used towatch RT France for news until the Pfizer girl blocked it.

Fortunately, it's still on FB unblocked in Thailand.

And, Yes, the Wikipedias;s entry about that SS has been redacted.

Yaroslav Hunka, the Waffen SS veteran who received a standing ovation in Canada's parliament, was first able to flee to England before he emigrated to North America. Hunka was one of thousands of SS veterans who made the journey with the connivance of Western authorities, who saw them as anti-Communist allies in the Cold War.

Americans are the most highly propagandized population in the world. The difference between an American and a Russian or Chinese person is the Russian or Chinese know they are being propagandized.

  • Since there is no free press in Russia it is called propaganda.

  • Putins argument is that Ukraine is full of Nazis. These nazis want closer ties with the west. This represents a threat to Russian security so an invasion was justified.   Some on here agree

Share the photos you saw. They will still be in your cache. Use Google image search to identify the original source, which, I guarantee you, is not wikipedia. Clearly, you took your belief about Bandera from Wikipedia. Clearly, you have no idea how Wikipedia is compiled. Clearly, you have no idea that Wikipedia should be taken with a pinch of salt. Clearly, you have no idea that you can go into the change logs on Wikipedia, and reproduce said photo and its source.

https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/BANDERA%2C STEFAN_0059.pdf

When you referred to the Waffen SS "division", I knew you were talking cobblers. The Waffen SS consisted of many divisions, some all German, some non-German, some, increasingly to the end of WW2, a mixture.

The Ukrainian division was SS Galicia. It was supported by Andriy Melnyk, as a counterweight to Bandera's UPA, which was outside of german control (and why Bandara found himself under arrest by the Germans).

Maybe what you are confused about is the transfer of the 14th Division in April 1945, after Hitler killed himself, to Ukrainian National  Committee, of which Bandara, and Melnyk, were members. As I stated before, the committee had the objective, at the end of the war, of extricating Ukrainians from German command, I suppose for the purposes of forming some sort fo resistance to Stalin post war, in the way the Baltic states organised armed resistance long after WW2. Bandera, disgusting individual he was, never took the SS oath that you believe he did, and never had rank in the German army.

Its easy for one's brain to be turned to mush by Russian propaganda.

I'm glad you recall that Russia invaded the Crimea in February 2014.  Literally, they started it. They tried to kill the Ukrainian garrison troops there, and then they proceeded to humiliate some very brave men.

Putin is a former KGB thug who's job in East Germany, which he apparently enjoyed, was to eliminate opposition to the East German Government. You apparently admire the fellow. He's raping Russia of its wealth, with his circle of cronies. Yeltsin was on to him.

Russian TV is not free and fair journalism, and is full of stooges of Putin. You're a mug. People used to listen and believe Lord Haw Haw during WW2.

You've understood what exactly? That Ukraine doesn't deserve to exist? That the Ukrainian language is made up? That NATO has been plotting for 30 years to destroy Russia? That Stalin was right in trying to starve Ukrainians to death? That there are no Nazis in Russia? That Turtle tanks are clear evidence of a sophisticated, winning military? You by now know the term Ho Hos, because you watch to Russian telly. Oh, wait, you don't actually watch Russian telly, because you don't understand Russian. Instead you watch a English language service, delivering a message they want you to suck up. Back in the days of the USSR, you could tune in and listen to Radio Moscow, where the announcer, usually female, would give the Soviet version of the world's news. Which was usually garbage, unless it was the football results.

I wonder how many posts here come from Russia.

Actually blocking RT and other Russian media in the EU was ordered by Ursula vdL.

Without any consultation with other EU luminaries.

Interesting to know Ursula's marital ties to big Pharma Pfizer.

I have no idea but I was in Russia when Yeltsin was there and I have been many times - to Ukraine as well. There is no difference between Ukrainians and Russians despite what some might tell you. A negotiated peace will have to come about one day - sooner or later.

Exactly. That's why I think Putin is a criminal because he started the war against Ukrainians who are in fact Russian people. He kills Russian people simply because they have different political views and agendas.

If you didn't know, there is a whole company of pro Kremlin internet trolls posting comments on forums and social media. This group was founded by Wagner's Prigozhin. You can read more about them here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Research_Agency

I support Putin 100%.

I'm just a plain Belgan retiree.

If there is a Kremlin supported group of posters on this forum please message me and accept me in your group because I feel rather lonely as a Russophile in this mostly Russophobe forum.

Being a Belgian, you support Putin in his war against Europe? Then you are a traitor.

Your government pays you a generous pension so you can live in Thailand and spread Russian propaganda, acting against your own country?

That's very despicable.

I think you will find that those posters are mostly getting their information from American and European analysts and commentators. Not everyone believes western msm, unlike many posters here.

He’s a Belgian that doesn’t support Ukraine. If that’s despicable, you’re a Russian (as you previously claimed) that doesn’t support Russia. Wonder what that makes you…

It looks like you are unaware of the Russian propaganda mills that feed low information types in the West. Example: the Internet Research Agency.

You would be surprised how active they are.

I don't support Putin, not Russia. I don't support him because of what he did to Russia, turning it into a lawless totalitarian KGB-ruled state where you get thrown to jail if you say anything against the war

So you have your reasons and you feel that that’s good enough? How do you know that @jayceenik doesn’t have his reasons? What gives you the right to call him despicable? Rhetorical question. Just typical behaviour on this forum, ganging up on those that don’t share your views with insults.

There was a limit to how many lives could be lost in the Donbass to nazi shelling. Putin had to act and he did so decisively but with total obedience to the rules of war. Ukraine will have an embarrassing time next month at the peace conference asking folk to sign on to Zelensky's peace plan in which Russia totally capitulates and surrenders to Ukraine. One to look forward to.....watch the cancellations come flying in.

I bet you are not indeed a Russophile (which has nothing to do with being putin’s fan), just an old sociopathic clown.

Do you know that the US had a plan to dismember Belgium after the Liberation?

And make it disappear as a nation...

One part to Holland, one part to France, and one part to Germany.

But a few years later, when Wallonia did want to join France (Walloons, French, De Gaulle had all marked their accord) this project was nixed by the US who didn't want France to be augmented with prosperous Wallonia and its rich coal mines and steel mills.

BTW-many sanctions directed at Russia have been economically very detrimental to Belgium. Latest one being directed at the word class Antwerp diamond market. No more Russian diamonds for Antwerp, not even those pre-cut in India.

I want peace in Europe, not a US-Russia proxy war that would serve only the geostrategic interests of the US.

Belgium is host to 22 US nuclear missiles and will be one of the top retaliatory targets for Russia if it's attacked by NATO like so many now in Europe want (UK, Poland, France, the Baltic states, ...).

Similarly, they have a plan to break up Russia, the old divide and conquer imperialist thinking.

It is not a bad thing when a big power becomes much smaller, Estonia's Kaja Kallas has said

The conflict between Moscow and Kiev should end with the defeat and breakup of the Russian Federation, Estonia's Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has said.

Kallas offered the suggestion on Saturday during a debate which was part of the 17th Lennart Meri Conference in the country's capital, Tallinn, dedicated to supporting Ukraine.

"Russia's defeat is not a bad thing because then you know there could really be a change in society," the prime minister argued.

She argued that the Russian Federation is comprised of "many different nations" and suggested that they should become separate states after the end of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.

"I think if you would have more like small nations... it is not a bad thing if the big power is actually [made] much smaller," Kallas argued.

Kawa Kallas is too insignificant to think up something like this. She probably overheard some other leaders discussing it and she’s merely repeating it to make herself appear consequential.

The results of this poll, in this forum, are clear. At the time of writing, 6 voted for putins aggression, 46 voted against putins aggression.

Glad to see that sanity still prevails in here.

It's also quite obvious, that the putin-acolytes in this forum are very few, though, very loud.

I wonder what drives them to spend so much time and energy, defending a murderous, corrupt and oppressive dictator and despot..?

He never lived in Russia, what does he know about Russia and Putin? He is a European retiree getting a good pension from his government, maybe 2000 EUR per month or so, while pensions in Russia are just 200 EUR per month. He has a privilege to openly express his political views and nobody will throw him in jail for that. He should be grateful for what he has in his country, because Russian people can only dream of having it!
