Two bomb blasts in Narathiwat province disrupted the start of the senatorial candidates' application process. In the Cho-airong district, an explosion near a communication tower interfered with the internet signal. This situation forced three individuals, who had arrived at the Cho-airong district office to register for candidacy, to be turned back until the internet connection is restored.

The homemade bombs in Cho-airong and Sukhirin harmed eight security volunteers in total—five in Cho-airong and three in Sukhirin.
