JTXR
I have a molar crown -- several years old, not sure how many -- that has felt weak and uncomfortable for a few weeks, now with an aching pain. Probably needs to be replaced. Any recommendations for a reliable, honest dental practice that can deal with this at a reasonable price? Thanks. brian2322
i'm curious- any idea why it is going bad? did they seal it with dental cement? i recently got a crown and it fit so snugly the dentist couldn't remove it to apply the cement, and I've read online that this can cause problems in the future... Gaccha
I think Sheryl recommends the BIDC. Another decent, cheap alternative is the St Louis.
jas007
Look into the Edelweiss Dental House. I needed a routine dental checkup and I had seen a YouTube video by the “Retired Working for You” guy, Chris Parker. Anyway, I figured I’d give them a try. It worked out well. I’d go back.
jas007
Whoever reacted. Why do you think that was funny? I thought the people who treated me were very professional. They knew what they were doing and they have all the latest equipment.
Lorry
Dental Hospital, Sukhumvit 77, Habito Rd, BTS Onnut Best in town, but expensive. Phayathai 2 Hospital dental department, between BTS Victory Monument and BTS Sanam Pao Call 02 271 6700 for appointment, English spoken Good reputation, and not a money printing enterprise like all those new dental places geared towards foreigners that sprung up during the last years Dentista A small dental clinic on Sukhumvit 77 near Sukhumvit Rd, BTS Onnut Surprisingly good, prices at the high end for a Thai-oriented clinic (Roughly half or two thirds of Dental Hospital) Specialists like e.g. endodontologist may be available only once a week Receptionist may speak little English, better have a Thai make the first appointment
shdmn
Just go to Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) as others have recommended. Another one close to Nana and Ploenchit Skytrain is Bangkok International Dental Hospital (BIDH). Edited June 2 by shdmn
JTXR
Thanks for the recommendations. brian2322: No idea, but it's an old crown and these things have a limited lifespan. Maybe cracked. I somehow am unable to completely abide by dentists' recommendations to give up eating nuts. 🙂
