This is a typical daily left wing twist of the media that constantly appears on this site now.   Why not run with 50% of the respondents did NOT agree with the democrat NY jury decision ? Oh

  • Trump won’t quit its the only possible way the more serious cases and FACTS won’t be exposed to public view he’s fighting for his life.sure sucks to have received every possible advantage in life and

This is just another example of the ludicrous electoral system in the USA. Convicted felons cannot vote yet they can run for president. How f'ing dumb is the American electoral system.

"Make America Great Again".  We may disagree on how that's best done, but anyone demanding "Death to America" is probably not a unifier.  Or calling out the USA as racist...  Or burning down city blocks in the name of justice.  Or insisting that the few percent of the citizenry with gender dysphoria, or Islamists, should dominate the landscape.

Personally, I'm in favor of letting the voters decide.  Not the Dem machine and 12 voters from a 90% blue city.

Or invading the Capitol, trying to hang the VP, and other democratic members of congress.

MAGA. 😝

Less than that.

Of all the reasons not to again elect Trump NOV 2024, I think this chickensh*t E felony should not be top of the list.

DA Bragg said “This wasn’t a hush money case, this was an election interference case”, then why not charge him with election interference instead being an optional “another crime”.

As the otherwise Conservative opinion but anti-Trump writer on NY Times 3 June:

Bret Stephens: Gail, I yield to nobody in my loathing for La Panza Naranja, particularly since he stole my grand old party from me. But this conviction, from a flimsy and convoluted case that should never have been brought and may ultimately be reversed on appeal, probably improves his chances of winning in November.

I liken it to Al Capone's case: they couldn't tag him for all the racketeering etc, and they finally nailed him for what?

In this case, I suspect it was decided to at least put felon on his resume.  Any future convictions would turn him into a repeat offender.  But the image initiative is underway.

The Revisionist History of the Trump Trial Has Already Begun

Quote

When McGovern then had the temerity to enumerate all Trump’s various criminal cases, a Republican congresswoman from Indiana jumped in, demanding that McGovern’s words be “taken down”—that is, struck from the official record. And sure enough, when the ruling came back, the archaic prohibition on trashing the kings of yore was indeed cited, and McGovern’s words were officially deleted on the grounds that he had accused Trump of “illegal activities”—as if McGovern were somehow just slinging charges on his own rather than referring to actual cases in courts of law.

We can take bets as to when it finally seeps in to the official record.

You can liken it all you want. The Feds got Capone on a tax charge because Chicago was too corrupt to ever go after Capone for murder, etc,

With the Trump case NY state 175.05 false records on its own is a misdemeanor and the state 17-152. Conspiracy to promote or prevent election. on its own is a misdemeanor. Put them together with some  "unlawful means" and now you have E felony.

Agree, it was a slight exaggeration.

Actually, a lot of countries don't use a simple majority voting system. UK, Canada, for example.

As for felons voting, the two states you mention are the only ones where felons who are still in prison can vote.  In 15 states, felons who complete their sentences can vote. Five states after sentence and parole. Twenty states after sentence and probation.

Just shows you know nothing about how a real democracy works. The ONLY reason the UK, Canada & other countries (e.g Australia & New Zealand) don't use a simple majority is because the citizens are NOT voting for an individual to be the leader of their country. They vote for members of a political party in their respective electorates (that part the yanks get right) and the party that wins the majority of seats, either in their own rite or by forming a coalition, which the yanks also get right when it comes to the House and Senate, in the lower house of their parliament becomes the govt and the leader of the party (who must be an elected politician, not an individual who hasn't been elected to the parliament by his constituents) becomes the Prime Minister and leads the country.

The US electoral system needs to change how the President is elected by having presidential candidates stand for election in their own electorates and their respective party chooses the party leader from among it's elected members and the party with the majority in the House their party leader is automatically the President until either the party decides to change leader or the next election.

You can't grasp that Putin wants chaos in America, which includes fomenting distrust of our institutions.

Yes, there are traitors helping Putin to undermine faith in America.

I suppose lord help you if Putin wants you to think the sky is blue and you fight it for god knows what reason I have no idea. I personally follow facts and logic and do my own research. It’s not all that difficult. Seems you should try the same the putin thing is just a spoonfed talking point that people mindlessly regurgitate.

Does your research extend to Putin's troll farms that are actives on many social platforms and spreading misinformation and fake news to sow political chaos in America?

His felony convictions are not playing well.

The Republican Accountability Project (a PAC of actual, old style, non-MAGA Era Republicans) are erecting billboards showing the faces of voters, including their name and city or State, saying"

"I voted for him twice. I'm not voting for a convicted felon."  Those will resonate, particularly among the independents/undecideds.

Biden's campaign has also gone on the attack (Imagine what MAGAs would do if the tables were turned...heck, the House R's condemn Biden for crimes they have absolute zero evidence about).

The campaign line is, "You might have voted for him in 2016, maybe even 2020, but now you know he refused to accept his clear defeat and he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, and he is also now a convicted felon."

It might take time away from your weed habit, but you can find the video of the terrorist attack on the US Capitol on 6 January 2021. Note the times when the gallows were erected and the "Hang Mike Pense" chants began. You can also find the felon's Twitter posts during that time, when he wrote of his disappointment because Pence fully intended to do his job. Parse all that.

Then note the 187 minutes between the initial attack and when the felon finally did something. The felon couldn't care less that his proxies actually wanted to hang the Vice President, not that they were beating cops.

Now imagine if, say, antifa had attacked the White House on the same day using the same tactics---beating and bear spraying police and SS agents, breaking windows, etc, defecating on the floor of the West Wing, erecting a gallows on the South Lawn, and chanting "Hang the President". Do you think anyone would have Babbittized them? If the President had escaped execution, do you think he would have issued a video after the attack was quashed saying "We love you very much", as the felon did late afternoon on 6-Jan-21? Would he call any antifa attackers "hostages" and "political prisoners" and claim if re-elected he will pardon them?

Yes.

The Internet Research Agency, an arm of the GRU.

It was the IRA that kept running the Uranium One fake story, as well as fake stories about HRC's health.

The IRA used the detailed internal polling data that the felon's Campaign Manager Manafort gave to GRU and FSB asset Konstantin Kilimnik, in Spain in Manafort's first week as CM, to microtarget voters in key Swing States.

But Russia cooperation was a hoax!  Not according to the report issued by the Republican-chaired Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

That's kind of an 'inconvenient truth'.

You have lost your common sense.

Putin wants chaos in America, but you don't understand what he is doing.

It's a shame that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats seem to be able to replace those old goats and field a youthful candidate that could inspire Americans.

Interesting theory, but, unfortunately, it is not possible. Under the Constitution of the United States, the president has the power to pardon those convicted of crimes against the United States, which is to say federal crimes. Donald Trump was convicted in Manhattan of violating New York state law, not federal law. The only person who could pardon him is Kathy Hochul, the governor of the state of New York. She is a radical Democratic-Socialist who wouldn't pardon Trump even if someone had a shotgun strategically placed to the back of her head. So, sad to say, your convoluted scheme is not going to materialize. My advice is to try coming up with a new plan.

Dont want a pardon, according to many experts the dems wrongfully convicted him!

CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig has criticized the New York criminal case against Trump as an "unjustified mess" and argued prosecutors "contorted the law" to get the former president.

The Tds get trump leftist figure the ends justify the means!

All the get  Trump attacks have fatigued the country!

They have been at it since 2015!

The Gop have been passive in the past . A red state with house, senate , state AG and Governor office could similarly be a lawfare tit for tat ,back at ya !

Trump is indeed a convicted felon. So would be someone who is convicted of  murder or armed bank robbery. So would be someone in Florida and some other states convicted of felony littering well less than a pickup truck load.

Felony is felony but all felonies ain't the same.

maybe if you say it enough it will erase all the bad emotions you're clearly feeling. there is help available for that.

These guys who claim to do their own "research" mostly read Russian (and other right wing) disinformation from questionable sources.  Since it fits their narrative, they believe it.
