Playstation 3 In Thailand? Ntsc? Pal?

Featured Replies

Hi i was wondering which playstation 3 version can you buy in thailand? pal? ntsc? Usa version? japan version? Hongkong version? I have looked on some pages on the net but im not very good reading thai so thats why im asking How much is a ps3 now days? and which version shouldi buy for useing in europe since its to expensive in europe i thinking of buying one in thailand instead. by the way is it the same price on the net(thai sites) as there is in there shops in mbk or another places which is the best place to go to? i have heard good things about gcorners and nazprodject but Where are this to located? or is there any othergood places? thanks for all the help i get.

BluRay films are regionally encoded, its probably best to buy in your home country.

The PS3 here are all Japanese versions

PS3 games have no region coding so all games work on all consoles

Only Blu Ray Movies have the coding Japanese and US are the same zone but I'm afraid Euro Blu Ray movies would not play on a Japanese PS3

MBK is probably esiest to get to

Yes, definitely buy a European version even though it may be more expensive.

I have a Japanese PS3 which is region 1 for Bluray (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Blu-ray_regions_with_key.png) and also region 1 for DVD, however, it is an NTSC model and therefore won't support the region 1 DVDs from Europe (PAL) and as a consequence absolutely no use to you right now. Even the Singapore version, which is NTSC for games and PAL for DVDs, is region locked.

Well thansk for ala the answers but the euro version is too expensive over 940 us dollar here for just the ps3 (no games included) so its a big difference in price and the blue ray discs here are not many in movies so im still thinking of getting a ntsc unit because of the price There is a shop called http://www.j-signature.com are they any good? or is the nadz prodject better? the prices seems good anyway. The games seems to be region free.

Which place at mbk is most reliable? I heard something that sony has world warranty so i wonder which is the best shop to get it in?

I have no idea why you are buying it but isnt it best to wait until it has been 'chipped' liked the Wii and 360 and then you can buy the games for Bt150 instead of Bt2000.... Should be available 'chipped' before Christmas....
