It means that if you give someone 10000 and you buy a 10000 phone on Lazada from China there is little benefit to the Thai economy which is the purpose of the 10000 baht. I support it only as much as if money is given to a wide range of thais it is better that the status quo where the poor get nothing much. But spending on education or healthcare or elderly services may be better.

Yes that's true. Plus it's difficult to find much that doesn't involve imported parts, unless it's just things grown here
