Hi,

Has anybody had an EEG in Pattaya recently (if possible not at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital) - if so how much did it cost and were you happy with the service?

Thanks in advance.

An EEG can be done at any major hospital but will not be done on demand, has to be ordered by a neurologist.

Since you want to avoid BPH,  Pattaya Memorial would be a good bet to have at least 1 neurologist on staff.

For what type of problem are you wanting this done?

Some package promotions include one. Little interpretation, however, kind of pass/fail.

I got one as part of a health promotion at Phyathai Sriricha Hsp, and it was quite thorough w/ analysis.

Are you sure you are not confusing EEG with EKG?

I have never seen a lab that offers EEG. This is a very specialized neurological test and never part of a routine check up.

OK, I guess you can't go to the pricelist directly. The Lifecare homepage is here: http://lifecare.siam2web.com/

But you're right, I did misread the post, sorry. The lab definitely doesn't offer EEG.

My thoughts. I’ve had a few. You can get EEGs everywhere. It the interpretation that counts !!! So find yourself the best specialist is a good neurology department. I had one and the doctor failed to give mt the true conclusion. This led me to having meds prescribed that were for me and gave me huge dizzy spells. I eventually fought back and got myself into a very well known hospital . I had many tests, interviews, EEGs EKGs and the first doctor’s conclusion was proved wrong ! I had 6 months of hell for a bad interpretation. Hope you get the best treatment possible.

I got an ECG at Banglamung Hospital a couple of months ago without a referral or a consult with a Dr at Banglamung. They offered but I said it was for a Dr at Bumrungrad, which it was. Cost was very reasonable and they're pretty well organized.

I know you're looking for an EEG and I had an ECG, but you may want to give them a try.

Hi Sheryle,

I've had a couple of siezures, one about 3 years ago and one 2 days ago.

About time I found out what's going on.

I will try the Pattaya Memorial hospital but thinking that if there was a specialist hospital in Bangkok I might go there, as it's obviously quite a serious issue.

So, do you know of any decent neurologists in Pattaya or if not, is there anywhere worth trying in Bangkok?

Thanks in advance.

I doubt Banglamung can do EEG.

All hospitals, even very small ones, can do ECG.

EEG is very, very, very different, Needs a neurology service and specially trained  EEG technicians.  Takes an hour to do it, longer to interpret it.
