Glad to see at least a couple of people trying to stop the enviro-fascists. Always loved seeing videos of bonkers activists who are blocking roadways being 'escorted' to the sidewalk by angry motorists.

A huge difference between blocking roadways and damaging a historic monument.

Got you to watch and comment pretty effectively, didn't it?

The site wasn't permanently damaged. The corn starch was washed off in a few hours.

Yes those activists actually don't do real damage, they are smart enough to avoid jail, their main purpose is creating sensational news.

Anyway, they are a pest. I think a few of them are active on this forum in the EV threads.

This is why automobiles were never widely adopted. Because if you can't replace horses and buggies overnight, then they can't be replaced at all.

what are you on about ? oil is in everything. if we literally just stopped oil our system would collapse overnight. within 6 months a good chunk of humanity would be dead.

just stop oil.

oops i meant is in everything.

True. Blocking a roadway has potentially more dire consequences. Medical emergencies, vital appointments that annot be missed, perishable goods being shipped.  I say just run them over.  Or, as I saw in one video, reverse the cars until they are back end to the protesters, then give them a blast of the exhaust smoke. See how dedicated they are then.

Potential issues that may or may not happen. And minor compared to damaging a 5,000 year old monument.

Run them over? You're suggesting murder people? A damaged mind for sure.

If it were your child or mine, I dare say we would rate their life over a 5,000 year old pile of stones getting a paint job.

And running them over won't necessarily kill them. Just make them say 'ouch' a bit. Plus the odds are that they would voluntarily move before they disappear under the wheels. If you play in the road, there is a chance you will get hurt. Isn't that what we teach kids when they are 4 years old? The looneys of Stop Oil should know that.

Protestors need to learn that you win stupid prizes if you play stupid games. If you stand in front or a car or bus, you may get hurt. That is 100% the fault of the protestor- they deliberately put themself in harm's way. Darwin in action.

I can't believe that I have to spell this out for you. And what would have happened if society literally just stopped using horses as soon as automobiles were introduced?  Or as soon as trains were invented?

What you don't seem to understand is that it's possible to protest primarily against the use of petroleum and natural gas as fuels as opposed to their other uses.

That's not exactly what their signs say, though!
