Dr Jack. Apologies as I meant to exclude Sav as the new 14 day advance window for making appointments seems to fill up quickly.

Any others?

HCMC used to be the only one in the area that still issued year-long, multi-entry Non-O (with proof of funds) but no reports of anyone getting the year/multi there that I could find.

Penang might do it (again with proof of funds) but no reports from there either.

I think if that is the visa you want you're gonna hafta just suck it up, set your alarm for 12am and check the system then.
I've checked every day this week and you can get a booking for about 5 minutes (on the popular days) until they're booked out
but
this morning even at 7am there were still bookings for Thurz the 18th (that's because with the holiday Monday you wouldn't get your passport back until Tuesday the 23rd)

Thanks Tod-

1. Penang answered No 1yr ME.

2. I emailed both PP noted contact emails. Both bounced back

3. Waiting in Hanoi response.

I will try HCMC. And others.

Does it help to use an agent and do a border run and to assist with appointment? Or must applicant do this?

I'm often not here long enough to wait for an extension (waiting period).

When I was checking the Thai Embassy in HCMC earlier this year, their appointment waiting list was easily over 3 weeks.

Don't quote me on this, but I recall reading late last year that despite their website showing only single-entry Non-O's for spouse, the 1-year multi Non-O was available for the higher fee if you asked. Then I recall a subsequent post or thread with someone anecdotally saying that a friend only got a single-entry with the risky assumption that the multi-entry wasn't available.

The only sure thing is this a 'bad' month for dealing with the government, with national public holidays on 22nd and 29th.
