So sorry as this is very not politically correct, but as far as weed legalization, but hey Thai government -- Don't be an Indian Giver!

You made so many people very happy and some people very rich -- and now this!

I'm sure if there were pressures from big beer and big whiskey that he would surely tell us.

alcohol? and these are the reasons that AN IQ MIGHT DROP ... emphasis on might.  for me it is poor education and a bad gene pool. been teaching here over 20 years... never saw them test the kids

"He provided public health concerns, such as the alleged potential for a drop in IQ"

From its comment by the Minister, I assume the Health department has been monitoring the average IQ levels of its population and would very much like to see evidence of any changes over the past 50 years.

Not sure about business owners acting in good faith... the reclassification was always for medicinal purposes, but as usual, Thais just take it as an open free for all. These business owner can only blame themselves,  and poor policing.

1000s of weed shops all over Thailand are going to close on January 1, 2025.

That's going to result in 37 very disappointed customers.

The health department is preparing the statistics, figures should be released next month, there's a slight delay as they ran out of crayons.

I would be more worried about people’s health when all the proposed gambling casinos are opened up in the kingdom. A lot more deaths will occur from those addicted to gambling than those who smokeceeed

I agree and also feel sure he would have shared it with us, if there was severe pressure from one man who is still unhappy that his son became a coke head.  He was parachuted in as health minister, despite voting for cannabis decriminalization when he was justice minister in the Prayut government, to replace the previous minister who was resisting that person's instructions and working on a bill to restrict cannabis use while leaving it legal, so as to at least allow the medical cannabis sector to develop without placing it under impossible restrictions.
