Electrical Transformer Explosion Leaves Foreign Tourist Stuck in Pattaya Condo Elevator

Pattaya-Late last night, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an electrical transformer explosion caused chaos in a luxury condominium in Pattaya. A young female foreign tourist found herself trapped inside an elevator for over 20 minutes as a result of the incident.

 

The condominium, located in Soi 16, Na Kluea, Banglamung District, Chonburi Province, has a total of eight floors.

 

Residents and condo officials rallied to assist the stranded tourist, working diligently to pry open the elevator door on the ground floor. Inside the elevator was a young female tourist, about 25-30 years old.

I got caught between floors in an 'open carry' lift system.

 

Still cannot believe I was stupid enough to climb out.....makes me shudder just to think about it.

I always liked to think they would automatically go to the ground floor and open the doors under a power fail situation.....but then again there is the scenario of there being  fire.
