In a tragic turn of events, a 15-year-old boy named Sarawut was stabbed to death yesterday in the central province of Pathum Thani, Thailand. The incident, believed to be the outcome of a love triangle, saw a 16-year-old suspect later turn himself in to the authorities.

 

At around 5:44 pm, officers from Ladlumkaew Police Station were dispatched to the scene following reports of the incident. Upon arrival, they found Sarawut's body, which had been retrieved from a roadside ditch by a passer-by who had initially discovered the scene.

 

According to the witness, the drama unfolded when he saw an overturned motorcycle while on his way to the market. Three individuals, two women and a man, were present, and upon closer inspection, he realised that Sarawut had been stabbed and had fallen into the ditch.

 

Despite immediate medical intervention, Sarawut succumbed to his injuries, with stab wounds to his chest and body proving fatal. A knife, thought to be the murder weapon, was found near his body.

 

Sarawut’s mother, 37-year-old Tatiya, spoke to ThaiRath, expressing her belief that the stabbing resulted from a love triangle involving her son, his girlfriend Earn, and another teenager.

 

She revealed that Sarawut and Earn had recently rekindled their relationship after a brief separation. Tatiya suspects that the fatal meeting was arranged to resolve issues between her son and the other teenager, but it escalated into violence.

 

Following the incident, the 16-year-old suspect, Earn’s other boyfriend, voluntarily surrendered to the police. As of now, he remains in custody and is being questioned but has not yet been officially charged. The investigation is ongoing as authorities gather more evidence and testimonies to ascertain the full circumstances leading to the tragic event.
