New Polls Arizona & Pennsylvania Has Trump edging out Harris but Behind in Georgia

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are locked in a tight race in crucial battleground states, according to recent polling data shared with The Hill. The surveys, conducted by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling and commissioned by the Democratic super PAC Progress Action Fund, show Trump holding a slight lead over Harris in Arizona and Pennsylvania, while Harris edges out Trump in Georgia.

In Arizona, Trump garners 49 percent support compared to Harris’s 47 percent, with 3 percent of respondents undecided. Pennsylvania presents a similar scenario, with Trump leading Harris 48 percent to 47 percent, and 5 percent of voters undecided. Conversely, in Georgia, Harris leads Trump 48 percent to 47 percent, with another 5 percent undecided. These figures suggest that Trump and Harris are effectively tied in all three states, reflecting a significant shift from a few weeks prior when President Biden was trailing Trump in most battleground regions.

The Arizona poll also revealed that 59 percent of respondents said that having Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) as Harris's running mate would not affect their vote. Twenty-two percent indicated that Kelly’s presence on the ticket would make them more likely to support Harris, while 17 percent said it would make them less likely to do so. Only 2 percent were unsure about the impact of Kelly’s potential candidacy.

In Pennsylvania, a similar sentiment was observed, with 64 percent of respondents stating that Governor Josh Shapiro (D) as Harris's running mate would not influence their vote. Nineteen percent mentioned they would be more inclined to vote for Harris with Shapiro on the ticket, while 14 percent said they would be less likely to support her. Three percent were undecided on this matter.

Joe Jacobson, founder and executive director of Progress Action Fund, remarked, "In just one week, Vice President Harris has turned this race around by running an exceptional and unprecedentedly effective campaign." He added, "Most Democrats are afraid to go on offense, but Vice President Harris is not one of them. She completely shifted the narrative of the race and she will win the presidency if Democrats continue to hold Donald Trump and Republicans accountable for their creepy, weird policies."

The Democratic super PAC behind these polls is known for its provocative advertising campaigns. One notable ad depicted a Republican congressman in a couples’ bedroom to highlight the issue of reproductive rights last year. Although these polls are still early, they suggest that Democrats have reasons to be optimistic about maintaining their hold on key battleground states with Harris as their presumptive nominee. The Harris campaign has been actively vetting potential vice-presidential candidates, with Kelly and Shapiro among those considered.

The Public Policy Polling survey in Arizona was conducted between July 29 and 30, involving 618 Arizona voters, with a margin of error of 3.9 percent. The Pennsylvania survey, also conducted on the same dates, included 627 Pennsylvania voters, with a similar margin of error of 3.9 percent. In Georgia, the survey polled 662 voters from July 29 to 30, with a margin of error of 3.8 percent.

These tight races underscore the highly competitive nature of the upcoming election, with both parties vying intensely for control over pivotal states. As the campaigns continue to unfold, the strategies and dynamics in these battleground regions will be crucial in determining the final outcome.

Your opinion of the NABJ event is certainly unique.   The result will be that Trump solidifies his base of angry white males, but loses minorities.

I would say Whitmer is the only very high level option not interested and she probably wouldn't have been picked as two women is seen as a bridge too far for too many men.

Kamala should run with Shapiro in PA and be listed as running with Kelly in AZ. The real question is do either want anything to do with be her running mate? Thus far she hasn't had her pick of the litter.

How so could you flesh out that pick of the litter comment,I do know one person up for review declined citing he is 69 years old and didn’t want that hurting the ticket.

The governors of three states said no. Pay attention names like Whitner and moore are no longer mentioned. Forgot the name of the one from NC. That might have been a senator but those were three big names that are doing their hair this season.

I’m only aware of one who declined due to he thought his age would hurt the ticket, perhaps the other two aren’t being considered anymore you are saying they refused the ticket that’s not true.as far as gov whitner she as well as the vice president know 2 women at the top of the ticket would be a hard sell as you well know.

i told you when they were. It didn't happen on the same day so it isn't like there is a single link. There are no big brands stepping up to the plate. Here are two of them you can add Moore from Maryland who was mentioned a lot. The recent list has something like 6 old white guys that have not committed. Notice your usual suspects aren't crawling out of the woodwork to join her?

i would go out on a limb and say both Shapiro Andy Kelly are the next to say no. Shapiro for sure.

Did you know voting for the Nov 5 election starts 49 days from now in PA. This is 49 days early.  Why is 49 days needed to vote in PA?  In a few days another 3 states start early voting.  How many not so legal actions can be taken in 49 days.  Don't know how many days after Nov 5 is still open for voting.

Instead of this go to "racist card" accusation... would you please explain what is racist about it... it has been supported by facts of history that Kammalla has identified as many things in her past... is it ok for her to change her identity to fit the narrative or not and WHY?

Trump was great. Called out the pathetic leftist woman asking questions.

Dodgy Kamala did not turn up. Maybe she was busy eating Indian food.

No votes being Indian. Hence she changed to black. She is brown anyway. She is a phony. Changing identities and stances on issues to get votes.
