Musk the useful idiot
If everyone benefits from raising taxes, why not at taxes on everyone? It seems greedy to raise them only on the rich. -

Must Read Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
I do not see any problem with this new law. Paying tax to Thailand for stays over 180 days is not the same as double taxation. To avoid any mistakes with the documents (Thai language) I chose to use a lawyer. (cost me 7 000 thb.) She arranged a tax card and bankstatements. She sent all the necessary documents for me to the authorities. In return 10 days later I received 2 documents. 1) "Income Tax Payment Certificate" R.O.21 and 2) "Certificate of Residence" R.O.22. Next, I paid my tax to Thailand. And sent R.O.21 & R.O.22 to the tax authorities in my home country. Which then registered my new information. Long story short, I got back the difference between paid taxes in Thailand and my home country about 6 months later. The long processing time is my only point of complaint!! (I ended up with approx + THB 161.000.) -

Restore lost Yellow Book
So I decided to go to the nearest and it turns out to be provincial police station in Phuket Town. Now there were 5 clerks (2 of them for lost documents) and the process went a lot faster! The young lady clerk just replaced the guy in the window #4, had her coffee in a plastic cup. My number comes up, she understood about YB but had no idea what the pink ID is. Tried to explain they give it at Amphoe along with Tabian Baan , the yellow book. It is pink and it is for foreigners only. Still no idea, she asked her colleagues - nope. Had to google it and show pic on my phone. Small discussion and she finally read the name at the top of the card to understand how is this 💩 yeeeoow called in Thai. And I warned her about the house number, 1 5 8 please. Guess how many tries it took to get the correct report? If someone later decides to follow up my case they would find out that I had houses 158/43 + 58/43 + 53/34 + 153/34 . First error she corrected with blue pen, I pointed out there were other errors too. She corrected one by printing new report. Stamped it and handed me. But the other errors were still there. I pointed that out. Printed again, stamped again. I pointed out another one. Printed again, stamped again. I mean can you check them really carefully one time? And stop looking at that coffee cup already) When I got home I found another error, but I gave up. The report says I came 1086 year ago in the year 938 to file it)))) -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
sounds like medical treatment is best choice, no matter what you here for based on reading thru a few pages of what people did. Any additional fees at teh embassy you went to? And it sounds like a 7 day turn around time approximately? -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
Bang on………..shame on the apologists and doubters Ukrainians want this war to end more than anyone else in the world. But definitely not through the destruction of our nation, our culture, our cities. Russian aggression gives us no choice but to fight and defend our very existence. I thank everyone who helps and works tirelessly for Ukraine, so we can achieve our goals as soon as possible. -

Why file jointly, adding your income to the wife's 25% tax rate? File singly, and your numbers will be a lot better.- 1

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Good luck with that if you get audited. The tax website allows allowance for "Approved provident fund contributions paid by taxpayer or spouse." Is your fund approved? In Thailand, provident funds are covered under the Provident Fund Act. The Provident Fund is established as a juristic person and registered. After the appointment with the fund management company, the fund must be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) according to the Securities and Exchange Act. This is similar to allowance for life insurance and health insurance only for Thai registered companies, no capital gains tax only for SET companies. Any allowance for an Australian provident fund would have to be spelled out in the THAI-OZ DTA. http://www.thailawforum.com/database1/provident-fund-act.html https://www.sec.or.th/EN/Documents/ActandRoyalEnactment/Act/act-pvd2015-no4.pdf -
