Anyone with an Australian superannuation fund pension account apply for this visa? We have a minimum withdrawal rate depending on age and mine is currently at 4%. I’ve asked BOI about my Australian superannuation… “As long as the pension or passive income has been actually received or paid out to you, it may be accepted as evidence, subject to document verification.” However, we do not recommend withdrawing funds solely for the purpose of meeting the LTR Visa requirements.” The minimum withdrawal rate is required by Australian government but can withdraw as much as we like. Has anyone for example withdrawn 5% (1% over my minimum withdrawal) and BOI accepted this. Yes I do need to withdraw a bit more to cover the US$80,000 plus a buffer. I see on their website the $A exchange rate is currently 1.55 but I guess it would be prudent to withdraw up to US$90000 in case exchange rates change negatively. I have savings to add and will need 12 months statements before applying and who knows what the exchange rate will be in 12 months.
