Woman Injured In Motorbike Incident

The Pattaya Police and Sawang Rescuers were called to the scene of an accident on Pattaya Third Road on 30th July, where they were informed that a motorbike had hit someone walking on the footpath.

At the scene the team found Miss Wilaiporn Kwansin, aged 38, in a very serious condition on the road next to the footpath. She could not give any statement so the Sawang Rescuers quickly took her to the hospital for treatment.

The only person that could give a statement at the scene was the motorbike rider who wasn’t badly injured.

Somchai Khalak, aged 23, admitted that he came at speed, but this woman crossed the road without care, and he couldn’t brake in time and hit her. This is only one side of the story, because from the scene, it looked more like Miss Wilaiporn was on the footpath, but as there was no eye witnesses the police must wait for Miss Wilaiporn to recover and listen to her statement about the incident. In the meantime, Somchai’s motorbike was seized until further investigation gets under way.
