A breakdown in communications networks in central and southern Gaza has cut many Palestinians off from the outside world for the past week, further straining aid efforts and emergency services amid continuing Israeli bombardment.

Israeli strikes damaged a main connection, cutting off communications in large areas of the strip since Tuesday, according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, based in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The telecom company Paltel said Friday that internet and landline services were restored in some areas in southern Gaza, including Khan Younis, with repairs ongoing in other southern and central areas.

It’s a war and as your link says some have been repaired and they are fixing the other. Jeez.

Hamas started this and can finish it today or months ago by releasing hostages and laying down arms.

The UNWRA that the Democratic Party in the USA throws money at. May their memories be blessed and their killers destroyed.

The European Union (EU) has pointed fingers directly at Hamas for turning Gaza's civilians into human shields whilst demanding Israel halt its military operations immediately.

The blunt accusations emerged from emergency talks in Brussels on Monday, where 27 EU nations finally agreed on something regarding the Middle East crisis—both sides are making ordinary Palestinians pay the price.

In a strongly-worded statement, the European Council condemned Hamas for refusing to release remaining hostages and exploiting Gaza's 2.3 million residents as cover during Israeli military operations. The intervention marks Europe's most decisive stance since fighting erupted following the 7th October 2023 attacks.

Its only taken the EU over 600 days to work that out. :saai:

A high-ranking representative of Benjamin Netanyahu's Israeli government has voiced unusually strong criticism of the conduct of the Gaza war.

Moshe Gafni, leader of one of the ultra-Orthodox parties in the governing coalition, said in a parliamentary committee meeting in Jerusalem on Wednesday that he does not understand what Israel is fighting for in the Gaza Strip: "I don't understand the purpose."

Gafni is the leader of the Degel HaTorah (Banner of the Torah) party, which is part of the United Torah Judaism alliance.

"What are we supposed to do there when soldiers are being killed all the time? I don't understand it. We need a Trump here who says, 'We're bringing the hostages back, ending all this and returning to normality.'"

The Israeli military said on Wednesday that the seven soldiers died "during combat in the southern Gaza Strip," while another was injured.

Of course there is, what would you call forcing a people into a tiny area then picking off 10/20 a day as they are starved and forced to risk their lives for food.

I would call it an example of the terrorist  tactics Hamas uses to control the Palestinian population.

Mediator: Ceasefire-hostage deal between Israel and Hamas possible ‘within days’

A Palestinian-American political activist who has been mediating between the Trump administration and Hamas said Tuesday that it was possible to reach a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal “within days.”

Bishara Bahbah, who is mediating alongside Egypt and Qatar, said in an interview with the Jordanian Al Ghad TV channel that he was optimistic about the chances for a deal following the ceasefire struck hours earlier between Israel and Iran, arguing that it put Gaza back atop the regional agenda.

There's at least a possibility his efforts could be successful.  "Bishara Bahbah is a Palestinian-American activist and academic whose position in facilitating talks between the Trump administration and Hamas was first revealed earlier this month by the Times of Israel, following discussions that led to the release of dual U.S.-Israeli national Edan Alexander from Gaza."      https://www.newsweek.com/bishara-bahbah-trump-witkoff-israel-gaza-hamas-2077594

I wonder if Hamas regard Bahbah as a black sheep since he  founded a group called "Arab Americans for Trump."
